Caritas - Tuesday Evening [Open]

"Something smells awful in here!" Donut said when he came into Caritas that evening.

"Maybe it's the zombies," Tino suggested.

"It's not the zombies. This is not an undead smell. This is a...smelly smell," Donut said. He went into the storage closet and got out two bottles of air freshener and handed one to Tino. "Spray, Tino! Spray for your nose and the noses of our customers!"

Tino just rolled his eyes and began to spray. He still thought the smell was coming from the zombies.

They didn't appreciate being called smelly. They were smelly but they didn't like being told that to their face. It was rude.

Tino and Donut smelled a lot like flowers that had been trapped in an aerosol can for a while.

Logan had just gotten back from his week-long mission. He wasn't in a terribly good mood because of it.

"Beer," he ordered.

"Any specific kind of beer?" Donut asked. "We've got lots."

"Give me enough time and I'll make my way through all of 'em," Logan said. "Just pick one and start pouring, Pinky."

"Hey, that's Lightish Red-y!" Donut said, moving to get Logan's beer. He just closed his eyes (not that Logan would be able to see that) and pointed to one at random.

Donut sat down the beer in front of Logan. "Here you go."

"Lightish Red?" Logan asked, popping the bottle cap off. "Seriously?"

"That's seriously what color it is," Donut said, pointing at himself. "Light red."

"Where'd you get armor that color anyway?" Logan asked. He wasn't sure if this was a joke on him or a joke on the bartender, but he was pretty sure there was a job somewhere.

"Oh see, I was wearing the standard red armor at first but then I killed a lady with a grenade," Donut said with pride in his voice. "Command was so proud they gave me my own color armor."

"Was the lady somebody important?" Logan checked. Then he downed half his bottle. He needed it even before meeting this kid.

"She was a mercenary. I don't know if that's important or not," he said. Donut noticed that this guy drank a lot like Grif did. "To be honest I don't even know what a mercenary is."

Logan stared for a moment, finished his beer, and said, "Mercs take money to do stuff. Kill people. Steal things. Whatever they're paid for. Gimme another beer. Whatever the next one down the line is."

Donut nodded at the job description of a mercenary. "Yeah, that sounds like something Tex would enjoy."

He grabbed the next beer in line and handed it to Logan. "But anyways, the lady I killed with a grenade came back as a ghost and then stole the body of a robot. So it's pretty much like I never killed her at all."

"Robot ghost chick," Logan said, summing it up before taking a drink. "Well, it ain't the strangest thing I've heard, but it's still pretty high up there."

It smelled like flowers in here.

I cannot spell today omg.
