Groovy Tunes, Tuesday

Alice wasn't certain what she had expected a group calling itself "Cake" would sound like, but it wasn't this. She wasn't objecting; this was rather delicious in a strangely bitter way. It reminded her of dark chocolate.

Groovy Tunes was open.

A paper airplane sailed into the shop and whizzed over Alice's head.

Alice couldn't help noticing the airplane, and she stopped to laugh and chase it to where it had smashed into a wall.

Murdock peered around the doorframe, grinning as he watched. "Aww, crash landing. Must've had engine failure."

"I don't see any engines at all," Alice laughed, kneeling to pick up the paper airplane. "That's quite a failure, indeed. Luckily, it seems there were no passengers, and thus no casualties."

"I'm well, thank you," she said, lifting the paper up and handing it to him. "Is there a note inside? These could be used to pass messages, if they weren't quite so conspicuous. And everyone seems to own gadgets for that sort of thing nowadays."

A note. Shoot. He should've put one in there. "Uh, actually there ain't no note. I didn't think to put one. I suppose there are gadgets. There's that email thing. I haven't really used much though."

"People have little devices they talk into, as well," Alice said. "Like the phones in our rooms, but they seem to be portable. It seems as though one can't step out of one's doors without the rest of the world wanting to tag along."

"Cordless phones, you mean?" Nope, he hadn't seen anybody using a cell phone yet. "They can be handy. Can't go very far with 'em though. I don't think I need the rest of the world trailing after me," he smirked lightly.
