Turtle & Canary, Wednesday, 7/2

Amber wore her tap shoes to work today, so while studiously sweeping and brushing down the aisles, she tapped. She might have tapped more than swept, but the important thing here was that she was tapping. And it was fun. Even Apu heard the music in Amber's head and was caught several times tapping his toe. Now, if that wasn't bringing joy to others, she didn't know what was.

Right now Amber was looking at the charm bracelets. Tap tap tap. For no particular reason. Really.

Today's Squishy Flavors: Rubber Biscuit, Bologna, Grape Judas

Turtle & Canary is open.

[ETA: it always said bologna.]

"Amber!" Wow was nice to be able to talk again. G'Kar was possibly so thrilled that he was a bit louder than usual. He found her in among the shelves, apparently looking at something. "I am myself again!"

Yah, possibly very loud.

"Oh, that did not concern me in the slightest," he waved absently. Really, it didn't. Being called 'pussy' was nothing compared to ribbons and bows. If he never had to see a pink ribbon again, it would still be too soon.

"And I must thank you for watching after me while I was not myself." That was a bit more quiet.

"Do not worry about it," he smiled. "I have faced much worse."

"It was nice to 'meet' your family. They are very...interesting." Which was the polite way of saying that he thought both women were insane.

"Yes," he nodded, "I understand. You cannot change them so you have to accept them as tey are. That is entirely allowable for family."

"Maybe next time I visit, I'll not be a cat," he smirked. Won't that be entertaining. Watching Loretta and Annette freak over the weird alien.

G'Kar considered his answer for a moment. "It was oddly restive in some ways. Purring was quite relaxing. And the attention from young women," he smirked, "was highly amusing."

"The hairballs were not very enjoyable, however."

"Not only did you seem to find me terribly cute," he smirked, "but so did Ella. Apparently cats have a certain effect on you all."

Which reminded him that he needed to return to the diner and give Ella a proper thanks.

"I'm sure that it was," he replied dryly. The petting and attention he could deal with. Actually, it was rather nice.

The cutesy baby babble talk? Not so much.

"Next time I'll aim for a scruffy, mangey cat," he grinned.

Oooh, I need to watch that sometime. Only have seen bits and pieces. Maybe I should add that to my 'to do' list for the day.

Also, incredibly tired/groggy today and no amount of coffee is helping. *flops*
