Wellspring Arms & Meditation Centre, Wednesday

Ino was in a pretty chipper mood, honest. She had pictures of Worf-kitty developed now, and after making sure the store was neat and tidy (and fussing over her plants and promising them that if Worf tried smashing another one of them she’d kill him) Ino settled herself behind the desk with an empty photo album and began sorting through the pictures.

She’d keep them all, really. But some were way more adorable than others. And they totally served as an excellent distraction from thinking too hard about... stuff.

Yes, stuff.

Lana wandered in at her normal time. "Hey, Ino."

Wow, look at that. No dark circles under her eyes, no swaying or looking half dead. Amazing what a few nights - and days - of good sleep can do for you.

"Hi Lana!" Ino chirped, glancing up from her photos and beaming. "And yay, you look better!"

"Amazing what sleep can do for you," she said. "Did I tell you? Adah gave me sugar pills Saturday - placebos. Which is why they didn't do anything for me."

Ino looked indignant. "Seriously?"

Lana nodded. "Yeah. But she gave me the real thing on Sunday and well... I've spent huge amounts of time sleeping."

"She gave you sugar pills!"

Ino was stuck on that point, yes.

Worf did not say anything as he entered Wellspring.

He just headed for the meditation room.

Worf went through his usual mok'bara routine.

His moves might be a tad more violent than usual.

"Yeah. I was pretty pissed off myself," Lana admitted. "Kind of yelled at her and everything. Which, I know I shouldn't have done, but I was so tired and I just sort of lost my temper."

He might not have said anything, but Ino's giggling increased in volume as she studiously tried not to open her mouth and say something... that Cable-san wouldn't approve of.

...Cable-san totally ruined the fun of it. Oh well. Ino was still going to giggle.

Blink.

"Why shouldn't you have yelled at her?" Ino demanded. "She gave you freakin' sugar pills when you had a problem."

Worf paused for a moment at the giggling...

And just kept walking.

"Because I was brought up better than that?" Lana said.

Oh! Oh! She totally did have something to say that wasn't just giggling.

Ino had almost forgot. "If you smash any of my plants again," she called after him. "I'll kill you. They didn't do anything to you, and it was totally uncalled for."

Ino gave her a Look.

"There is nothing wrong with yelling when it's justified."

Worf turned and gave her a look. "I assure you I have no idea what you are talking about."

"You, well, kitten-you," and she was going to try not to giggle at saying that, "smashed some of my plants. I know it was you."

"My Aunt Nell would definitely disagree with you on that one," Lana said with a rueful smile.

"I have no recollection of that matter," Worf declared stiffly.

Actually he remembered anything. But to admit that was to admit... ribbons.

There was no way he was going to cop to wearing ribbons.

Ino made a face. "Sometimes," she said. "Yelling is the only way to get your point across."

...said the girl that liked arguing at the top of her lungs, yes.

"I'm sure you don't," she said, rolling her eyes. "Whatever. Do it again and I'll kill you and paste photos of you as a kitten 'round the school."

And she so, so could.
