Ino was in a pretty chipper mood, honest. She had pictures of Worf-kitty developed now, and after making sure the store was neat and tidy (and fussing over her plants and promising them that if Worf tried smashing another one of them she’d kill him) Ino settled herself behind the desk with an empty photo album and began sorting through the pictures.

She’d keep them all, really. But some were way more adorable than others. And they totally served as an excellent distraction from thinking too hard about... stuff.

Yes, stuff.

Lana wandered in at her normal time. "Hey, Ino."

Wow, look at that. No dark circles under her eyes, no swaying or looking half dead. Amazing what a few nights - and days - of good sleep can do for you.

"Hi Lana!" Ino chirped, glancing up from her photos and beaming. "And yay, you look better!"

"Amazing what sleep can do for you," she said. "Did I tell you? Adah gave me sugar pills Saturday - placebos. Which is why they didn't do anything for me."

Lana nodded. "Yeah. But she gave me the real thing on Sunday and well... I've spent huge amounts of time sleeping."

Ino was stuck on that point, yes.

"Yeah. I was pretty pissed off myself," Lana admitted. "Kind of yelled at her and everything. Which, I know I shouldn't have done, but I was so tired and I just sort of lost my temper."

Worf did not say anything as he entered Wellspring.

He just headed for the meditation room.

He might not have said anything, but Ino's giggling increased in volume as she studiously tried not to open her mouth and say something... that Cable-san wouldn't approve of.

...Cable-san totally ruined the fun of it. Oh well. Ino was still going to giggle.

Worf paused for a moment at the giggling...

And just kept walking.

Oh! Oh! She totally did have something to say that wasn't just giggling.

Ino had almost forgot. "If you smash any of my plants again," she called after him. "I'll kill you. They didn't do anything to you, and it was totally uncalled for."

Worf turned and gave her a look. "I assure you I have no idea what you are talking about."

"You, well, kitten-you," and she was going to try not to giggle at saying that, "smashed some of my plants. I know it was you."

"I have no recollection of that matter," Worf declared stiffly.

Actually he remembered anything. But to admit that was to admit... ribbons.

There was no way he was going to cop to wearing ribbons.

"Just dropping off lunch," he said, breezing in to put a bag of summer rolls on the counter.

"It's light and a bit sweet so hopefully you'll like them," he pointed out with a faint smile.

"There's also a bit of blueberry bread pudding down in the little brown bag. How's your day been so far?"

She grinned at him. "It's been awesome!" Ino informed him, wandering around the desk to fling her arms around him. "Death threats and kitten pictures."

And sugar pills, but Ino wasn't thinking about that right now.

He hugged her back with a laugh, kissed the top of her head, and nodded to the bag.

"And now, lunch and dessert. Also a hug, though I didn't so much bring that as provide it."

"Thank you," she told him. "You totally didn't have to." But she was glad he was cooking again. "And hugs are totally always brought and provided, seriously."

He grinned before nodding to the bag.

"Now, I do have to be off back to work, but let me know how you like it later?"

"I will," she promised, eyeing the bag and wondering how much she'd be able to eat. "Though I bet it'll be totally awesome."
