Groovy Tunes; Friday [ 07/11 ]

Chad had the weird urge to pick up a Squishy today on the way to opening the store, so he did, and then kicked back to relax behind the counter and strum his guitar a little, expecting another slow Friday night, especially with that party going on, or whatever, he thought he saw some flyers for something like that. He was never really all that social, though, anyway, so he didn't feel bad in missing it.

Today's mix: Fun Run One

Groovy Tunes is open, and there's still a Now Hiring sign in the window.

With a few sandwiches of good quality-- bought at the store pre-made, of course-- Teddy poked his head into the shop.

"Hey!"

Ooh. Boyfriend. This was a nice surprise.

Okay, perhaps not so much a surprise, but Chad had fallen out of expecting Teddy's worktime visits.

"Hey, you."

"Brought you some dinner," Teddy said, holding up the bag with the food.

"I see that," Chad said with a slight grin, shifting his guitar and pulling the strap off so he could set it aside. "Did you bring you some dinner with it, too?"

"Well, I dunno," Teddy said, looking thoughtful. "Is that an invitation to stay?"

Chad grunted a little at that, leaning forward (carefully) on the counter. "Like you need an invitation. You know I'd like you to, but, at the same time, I know there's that party going on..."

"Which is why I'm here," Teddy said, taking the lean as an invitation for a kiss.

It hadn't been Chad's initial intention, but he certainly wasn't going to say no to a kiss. He took it eagerly, dragging it out because, yes, they'd made up for a lot of lost time, but Chad still really missed this.

Teddy grinned once the kiss was broken. Yeah, he missed doing this too. "Since you're the boss now, think it;d be okay for me to stick around until you close?"

"I'm not the boss, Teddy," Chad pointed out. "Just a manager, but, yeah, it'll be okay. It was okay even when Melody was still in town."

"Shh." Teddy hopped up to sit on the counter. "You're supposed to try and impress me."

"But I already impress you," Chad pointed out. "How else would I keep you around for this long?"

"A great ass?" Teddy suggested innocently.

Innocently, his great ass. Chad grunted a little, giving Teddy the eye for a moment, somewhere underneath all that hair.

"I'd hope it was a little more than just my ass," he said, although he certainly wouldn't blame Teddy there.

"Your great ass," Teddy corrected, leaning over for another kiss. "and of course I'd come by for more than just that."

"Especially since you can't see it from there, anyway," Chad pointed out, easily giving into another kiss or two more. Then he reached for the bag, because he was hungry, and asked, "How're your classes?"

"The Galactic Traveling one is... interesting." Teddy shrugged. "Yours?"

...Chad was sure that Teddy was going to have an interesting response to this one.

Yeah.

Interesting.

"...Senor Deadpool made me his TA."

It was a good thing Teddy hadn't started eating anything.

As it was, he somehow managed to choke on nothing.

"He what!?"

"Made me TA," Chad repeated, watching Teddy carefully to make sure he was okay.

"He's insane, Chad!" Teddy said, flailing a little. "Really insane!"

"But it's a modeling class," Chad pointed out, even if he did feel that the fact that Senor Deadpool was even teaching a class regarding fashion and modeling only proved his insanity. "And he said I could be like Nigel."

"Really?" Teddy shook his head. "You just-- be careful, okay?"

"...Teddy," Chad said, tilting his head a little so that there was a better chance that the other boy could see the seriousness in his eyes, "I took a class with this guy before that put me in a fast moving vehicle with him. If I got out of that unscathed," physically, anyway, "this is going to be a cinch."

Another thing that time apart could do: make you forget exactly how much the other worried.

"Still..." Teddy looked down at his feet. "Just watch out for the other students then."

Chad nodded. "I will."

He leaned forward to give Teddy another light kiss. "You still worry too much."

Teddy kissed him back, sighing quietly.

"'m allowed to."

Just watch out for naked kitties underfoot!

Not around much until later, woe!
