The Arms Hotel Lobby, Saturday

It was, Viki felt, quite odd to be in another’s body. Quite interesting though as it lead to all sorts of pondering now about how, precisely, a person counted as themselves.

Was it just their body that made them them? Was she now ‘Turtle’ instead of ‘Viki’? She couldn’t even say that she still felt like ‘Viki’ because well, her legs were quite a bit stronger now and her boobs (had ‘Turtle’ never heard of them?) were quite a lot smaller.

And her hair, and her face. It was more than unsettling when she looked in a mirror and found that the one constant in her life wasn’t a constant anymore. Hm.

Viki-Turtle, as she was neither and yet both today, twirled a pen and pretended she didn’t notice the odd looks she was getting from the rest of the staff.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

Stan walked into the lobby, looking for a certain someone. "Hello. Is Mary around?"

"Ah. I see. Do you know where she might be? If she's around the town, I wouldn't mind looking for her."

It was important. To him, at least. Presumably to her, as well.

....she looked familiar. Maybe if he were more social, he would realize that the Arms had new staff.

Well. At least she was chipper. "May I leave a message? That Stan was looking for Mary?"

"Thank you," he replied. "How is Gunth--never mind."

Best not to broach that subject.
