Turtle & Canary; Saturday [ 07/19 ]

Turtle was definitely still loving this whole being someone else for a little while bit. She came into work, thoroughly delighted in messing with Apu's head, and then settled behind the counter. She braided Viki's nice, pretty long hair again, and plopped one of the overstocked raspberry berets on her head in an attempt to sell them better. She didn't need to worry about looking silly when it wasn't her with the look, but Viki.

Today's Squishy flavors: Grape Judas, Mango Lime, Yellow Sea.

Who is also wearing a raspberry beret, even if when Turtle kicked him, it didn't even hurt this time. Still, he didn't want to hedge his bets, so he wore it as she asked.

Who is still very fascinated by having boobs. They weren't even, like, grotesquely large or anything, just a nice size, but still larger than her own. It was kind of surreal.

Jeff hadn't actually forgotten about Turtle's shift this time. He hadn't! He even managed to find doughnuts and everything, and with a bag of them, sprinkled and all, he spurted into the shop, crying, "TURTLE!"

"JEFF!" Turtle, as customary, cried back, and bounced a little to see a bag a her boyfriend's hand, but part of the bounce was for the fact that this could be fun.

Or perhaps interesting was a better word for it.

Or maybe disastrous. They'd have to wait and see.

And wasn't his girlfriend.

Clinging on to the bag like it was a lifeline, Jeff found himself utterly unable to look away. A bit like watching a train full of breasts crash into a large village of... breasts. "...It's like a village with a train in it."

"...What is?" Turtle asked, the bouncing reaching a cessation and her head tilting at how, really, Jeff had absolutely no tact when it came to matters like these. She shook her head slightly, crossing her arms over her newly more cushiony chest.

"You are," Jeff blurted. He realized his mistake the moment it came out. He tensed up, his hand hovering somewhere in the air and oh god oh god, "I mean, not physically or anything, I'm not trying to tell you you've got a village for a face. That'd be rude! I'm not some sort of..."

Ah. He'd just struck the inevitable flaw in every scramble again. "...train... fetishist."

Turtle just shook her head a little; she was impressed, to a certain degree, that he didn't notice this sooner. It was late, though, when she got back from radio, and early this morning that she'd left for work.

The fact that he clearly didn't realize it was her made her wonder if she should even bother telling him. She'd be back to herself tonight, anyway...

A bright smile lighted on Turtle's face. "Of course not!" she chirped. "So, what's in the bag?"

...Turtle might have been a little worried about the fact that some guy she wasn't sure she knew was wondering if this was her when she wasn't even herself, but she figured that, clearly, this guy had just heard about her, and that she owned the store, and maybe even that she worked Saturdays, and that's how he could guess. So she nodded. "In a manner of speaking," she said. "Can I help you?"

Turtle frowned, thoughtfully looking at the end of the braid between her fingers for a minute. "Um, thanks," she said, dropping it and letting it swing to her back again. "And, I'm sorry, who are you? Do I normally know you, but you're body-switched too?"

Turtle blinked, and then it hit her. "Marco!"

This was followed very quickly by a giggle, covered with a hand to her mouth. "Now I know what you'd look like if you were hot!" she said between the giggles.

Jack...was craving a Squishy, no matter what body he was in. "Tell me there's a Grape Judas there today," he muttered to himself. "Aaah! I sound like a giiirl!"

Turtle eyed Hinata as she came in, noticing a distinct lack of stuttering. Muttering, yes, but no stuttering.

"...Mind-swap?" she guessed.

"And, yes," she added with a small grin, "there is Grape Judas today."

"I gotta tell ya, when I woke up this morning, I didn't know what was happening. Took me a minute to remember. And the clothing thing. I'm cold!"

He was wearing a t-shirt, a sweatshirt, and sweatpants. And putting his hands on his hips (he had hips?!) gesticulating.

"Wait. You've been swapped?"

It was a very amused Abigail Irene in the body of one Benton Fraser (still in uniform) who made her way to the Turtle and Canary today.

"Good day," she said with a pleasant smile.

"I would assume that you have simple men's garments available for sale?"

"Constable Fraser!" Turtle was very happy to see the Mountie stop in that she practically forgot that he wouldn't recognize her as herself. "Hi! Of course we do, and quite reasonably priced, you'll find, especially compared to some other places in town where such merchandise might be found."

Not that she was naming any names or anything.

"Though I must admit to the fact that I am not, in fact, Constable Fraser. We've switched bodies for the weekend, as I should hope you've heard."

If Turtle remembered, she might recall just who the radio mentioned Fraser had switched with.

Yeah, like Turtle could remember a list like that with all the notes she had from that party. Still, she beamed. "Oh! Cool! Me, too! I mean, I'm not usually like this. This is Viki that you're looking at, but I'm Turtle underneath. And I know I'm looking at Constable Fraser, but who's underneath? Do I know you? If I do, can you give me a hint so I can guess? You talk too well to be Mister Deadpool, but I would be Mister Deadpool would take to the chance to get inside Constable Fraser if he had the chance."

She was grinning, just a bit.

Mostly because yes, she had wasted the money. But it wasn't her money.
