Beach [Wednesday Afternoon]

It was gloriously warm again. Hannibal liked this place so much better than damned Antarctica. He was not made for snowsuits and boots that choked his ankles.

And he was not made to think about clothing like that, damned Deadpool's class.

Anyway, since his class was done for the day, he was taking full advantage of the warm weather by laying out on the beach, shirt off, sunglasses on and comfortably situated on a dark towel.

There was an orange next to his head and Hannibal had stopped questioning that after more oranges had appeared in his drawers this morning. Weird weird island.

But warm island. Mmm, sun.

"Hey, at least it's not boring?" Hannibal said, shrugging. "I mean, it's weird, yeah, but nothing I can't handle."

"That's the way!" he grinned. "Show that weirdness who's boss." What? It makes perfect sense. To him, at least.

Hannibal couldn't help but laugh and said, "How long have you been around?"

"Around here or around round in general? Here's been a couple months otherwise," he shrugged, "ain't no tellin'."

"Here," he clarified. "It's nice to know people have survived in this place what with all I've been hearing."

"Oh yah," he nodded agreement. "Most of the weirdness is pretty simple, wacky fun stuff. The other bits," he frowned a touch, "not so much. Tanglin' with minotaurs and ghosts ain't exactly what I had in mind when I came here. And here has been since the beginning of May."

"Any idea what causes it or is everyone content just to say this place is weird?" Hannibal asked.

"I think 'weird' is about it," he shrugged. "If anyone's ever tried to come up with a reason for it all, I don't know what it is."

He thought about that for a second. "Could be interesting to try to find out."

"Or really hard," he said and made a face. "Books, ew."

He grinned. "Not a fan of 'em, eh?" A teenager like books? Especially a guy? Yah right. "I read a lot. I usually have all kinds of free time on my hands, so why not."

Being locked up day after day gets rather boring, don't you know. Got to have something to do.

"I mean, I read when I have to," he said and shrugged, "but I'd rather be out doing things. Reading's boring."

"Dude, trust me, there's plenty of things way more borin' than reading." Like staring at the walls. "And not everybody can get out all the time, either. What are those poor folks supposed to do?"

"Hey, it don't cost money to head to the beach or go sit in a bar," Hannibal pointed out.

"Well, that only works if..." he frowned. "Never mind. You're right I reckon." Yah, let's not freak the new kid with 'Hi! I'm a teacher here and I'm fricking crazy'. Probably not something most of the students would want to know.

"Sometimes, I have good ideas," he said and laughed. "Not often so winning one isn't such a big deal for me."

He grinned, "Yah. Okay." Not that he really understood what Hannibal was talking about, but he was going with it for now.

"Every once in a while I have a good idea too." Sometimes, they even worked.

"Man after my own heart," Hannibal said and patted said heart. "My last good idea was coming out here. Maybe this place is good for my ideas."

"Thanks. And yah, I think all of Fandom is good for that. Gives a guy all kinds of good, crazy ideas," he replied, smirking.

"And here that was what got sent me down here in the first place," Hannibal said. "Now, I can spread my wings and fllllly."

"Careful how you phrase that, man. You could very well wake up one day with wings." And as a pony. Possibly Murdock missed that. "People turn into all kinds of things 'round here."

"So, I've heard," he said and frowned. "It just sounds like this island has some badass, permanent PMS or something."

"I don't think it's all that bad, dude. One of my classes, seemed like half my students were animals. A kitten, a rabbit and..." he frowned, "a polar bear, I think. Can't quite remeber the last one there." He shrugged, "Didn't seem to bother them much."

And apparently, he'd also forgotten how Worf!kitty did not seem amused. AT ALL.

"I...haven't met any former humans, currently students," Hannibal said. "When I do, I plan on laughing."

"Like I said, most don't seem to mind. There might be one or two out there that may not care for it. Could cause a problem if you laugh at the wrong guy."

Really, really a shame he's forgotten about Worf. Otherwise, Hannibal would be getting a good warning tip right about now.
