Pixie Dust, Saturday

It was a hungover Toby that opened Pixie Dust today.

God, the sun sucked so hardcore. Rather than doing something productive, he sat on top of the counter, sipping a V8 and trying to remember if he'd actually gotten anywhere with Tino or not. If he had, it was fanfreakingtastic. If not, he was so trying again.

Regardless, Pixie Dust was open for business.

So there was a Savannah who was being lazy and shopping. She went into Pixie Dust to see if they had even of the special things she was looking for. When she saw Toby, she blushed, remembering the talk she had had with Johnny.

Remembering he was supposedly working here, Toby grinned and hopped off the counter when he spotted a customer. "Hey, how's it going?"

Savannah grinned. "Hi, how you doing?"

Toby rubbed his hand over his shoulder. His uniform for work was...not wearing one. "You know, went out last night. Lost some time. Good stuff."

He really did look hot.

"Having a good time is very important."

"It really is," Toby agreed, pulling out a rack of bikinis. "Can I interest you in our latest arrivals?" He could pretend to be capable of making sales.

"Oooh, have anything in a royal blue? I think I'll need a new one if everything goes like I'd like it to."

"Planning on the destruction of swimwear?" He knew how that went.

She laughed. "Well, if things go right, it could be."

Ooh, a clothing store? Alita had to see what was here. Maybe she could find some good outfits here, if there was a dance. Wait. Was there a dance?

Toby was still wandering around with his V8, wondering if he needed a new swimsuit for when Savannah and Johnny called on him.

Alita almost bumped into him. "Hi! Sorry. Wasn't watching where I was--Ooooh," she said, looking at a long blue dress. "I came in to browse. Maybe. Maybe to buy something. Any suggestions?"

Toby smiled warmly, glad to avoid spilling his V8 down his shirtless chest. "Feel free to browse but I'd recommend you try some of our latest bikinis. They're perfect for the beach."

"Bikinis?" That was something new. "There's a beach at this convention?" Her eyes lit up not literally. Shirtless guy. Nice.

"There's always a beach," Toby replied, wondering how this girl had missed it. "It's an island, after all."

"Oh. Right." Lounging on the beach wasn't a popular option at the Scrapyard.

She looked through the selection, from a modest one-piece to a blush-inducing two piece that was very...tiny. "Do you have any that you recommend? Or good sellers?" Really, she did not want to wear something that would get her looked at...more than having a metal body would have her getting looked at.

Toby went through the rack thoughtfully, "Well, this one (http://www.lookswimwear.com/images/W/PP_Secret_WildBerry.jpg) has been popular today. It's a really nice blue color."

Ella supposed that if she had an actual date on the beach, she should have a proper bathing costume as well. She was happy to see a clerk she knew on duty when she came into the clothing shop.

"Hello, Toby. Where would you have swimming suits, for women?"

"Hey, Ella!" Toby said chipperly. "There's a huge rack right here," he showed her the newest shipment of bikinis.

"Thaaaaanks," Ella said hesitantly. "Do you have anything a little, well, modest? I'm used to being covered up."

"Modest?" Toby laughed. "Oh Ella. Wear the bikini. You'll look hot."

"But it's kind of my second date with someone?" He'd given an order, after all. "And I don't want to send the wrong kind of message, if that makes any sense."

"That's a respectable bikini," Toby told her. "It's not like you're going nude or anything."

Ella blushed. "It's not, but ... I don't know. Maybe I can wear a sarong."

"Get a white one. Then if it gets wet, it's all sheer and sexy." He had great ideas.
