Caritas - Sunday evening [Open]

Jolee had spent far too much time cleaning up an oil spill apparently from the night before. That didn't make him happy.

The lack of robots around the place tonight countered the unhappiness, though.

The fact that Tino was wearing cardboard boxes wrapped in tinfoil so that he looked like a robot made him sigh.

The help wanted sign was still up.

[OOC: Tino will also be dancing the Robot at random points throughout the night, if you'd like to notice that.]

Ahh Drinking, Kurogane needed him some of that far away from the mage.

He sat down at the bar and nodded to whomever was there, he decided not to comment about the robot costume. "Sake," he demanded.

"Of course," Jolee said, motioning for Tino to get the sake. And Tino did just that in stiff, jerky motions.

Jolee sighed. "How are you tonight?" he asked Kurogane.

"Fine I suppose," Kurogane replied looking at Jolee curiously. "Yourself?"

"Tino's being an idiot, I had to clean up an oil spill in my lounge, and Tino's being an idiot," Jolee answered. It wasn't a direct answer, but he thought it got the point across.

"I know the feeling," Kurogane nodded in response. "One of the staff in the cafe was sobbing all day about how some cake was a lie," he grumbled and took a long drink of the sake.

"You should've sent him to the bakery to get out of your hair and face reality," Jolee said.

[OOC: And now I have "Still Alive" stuck in my head.]

Kurogane shook his head. "Nah, left and let the mage take care of them, he's more patient anyways."

"Well, it means I have business tonight, so I can't argue with your plan," Jolee said. "Except that it means you have to spend time with Tino."

Tino was doing the Robot while standing on the bar now.

[I've never even played the game. I'm just a big enough JoCo fan to have downloaded the song and put it on repeat way too many times.]

"...... at least he's quiet," Kurogane mummbled as he looked at Tino oddly. "More than I can say for any of my staff."

"You could always invest in ear plugs," Jolee suggested.

"Earplugs?" Kurogane frowned. "Where I'm from that's a bunch of wax that you stick in your ears... easier just to walk out than to dig it all back out."

"They have non-wax earplugs around here," Jolee said. "I wouldn't be able to get through some of Tino's more talkative nights without them."

"I'll keep it in consideration.... thanks," he said as if the word Thanks was somewhat foreign to him.

No more oil spills.

After having calmed the hysterical staff with lots of chocolate cake, Fai just needed to get out of the cafe for a while. He noticed Kurogane at the bar and made a point not to bother him, going to sit in the lounge and watch the zombie band with genuine interest. While trying not to stare at Tino's antics.

Kurogane noticed Fai sitting over at the lounge and wandered over to him, towering over him with a drink in his hand. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"Sitting." Fai looked up at him and smiled brightly. "Should we hire them?" he gestured to the zombie band. "Maybe just for a few days. The staff would love new music, I'm sure..."

"No," he replied flatly. There was too much music as far as he was concerned. "It's fine the way it is."

"If you say so." Fai leaned back, just watching. "How much have you had to drink, Kuro-min?"

"None of your business," he frowned and plopped down into the booth. "I can drink a lot more than you can and not get drunk."

"You can. But still, it's not good for you to drink so much all the time. You'll kill yourself, and then I'd be all alone..." Fai sighed, resting his chin in his hands.

"I have no plans on dying," he said flatly, looking over Fai curiously as if he was implying something.

"Good. I don't want you to." There was nothing but sincerity in Fai's voice and expression, though it quickly shifted to a vapid smile. "I'd hate to have to run the cafe all by myself."

"Hhm-hmmm," Kurogane rolled his eyes slightly and had more of his drink. "You're not allowed to drink anything. I'm not carrying you back to the apartment."

"No, I'm not interested in drinking tonight, don't worry." Fai waved the comment off. "Mokona would join you, but it's making sure there's not another breakdown like earlier today." He tilted his head to the side, studying Kurogane with just the hint of a smile. "...Though I wouldn't say no to a sip or two."

"No, you get tipsy off of that."

"It's nice to relax once in a while, don't you think?" Fai got up, resting one hand on the table.

"Yeah it would be nice to relax," Kurogane frowned back at Fai. "And I will, once I consider it safe."

"..." Something akin to sadness crept into Fai's light blue eyes, but he looked away quickly. "Well, I'll leave you to it, then."

There was a slight pause in Kurogane's expression, seeing the sadness on Fai's face, but shook his head and looked away.

"Goodnight, Kurogane," Fai said, walking away.

I'm still tired. But I'm awake.
