Groovy Tunes, Saturday [9/06]

Hurley's worry when he unlocked Groovy Tunes was only dwarfed by his confusion. It was his first day, so he was supposed to be supervised and taught stuff. By Chad.

And yet, no Chad in sight.

After a few minutes, Hurley found the light switches and etcetera, and the place at least looked open.

Even if the person behind the counter had no clue what he was doing. Lucky he had register experience from Mr. Cluck's over the summer.

[ooc: OCD coming, and Chad's not-there-yet-whereabouts came through prearrangement with the player. ETA: Open!]

It'd been a while since he'd come by the shop, usually he came by to pester see Alice, but no reason he couldn't pop in on some other day.

He grinned slightly at the kid. "Heya."

He laughed. "You know, I thought the same thing myself first time I came in here. Groovy kinda place," he smirked.

"New student or have I just not seen ya around yet?" he asked, curious.

"Hurley. Nice to meet ya." He stuck his hand out, "Murdock."

"Eh, not really. Just lookin'." Or rather, he was bored and had nothing better to do. "What kind of stuff do you like?"

Chad hurried into the store much later that day, quickly ducking through the door and then pressing his back against it as he caught his breath; even with the powerful dashing down the street he'd done, almost missing the door completely, he wasn't breathing hard, but he didn't look the best. His shirt was a little torn and he was roughed up like he'd been fighting a bear. A big bear. He glanced over his shoulder to see if he'd been followed, cleared his throat, straightened his shoulders and his shirt, and then walked casually over to desk, hands in his pocket.

"Hey, Hurley. See you opened up okay. Good man. Sorry I bailed on you earlier."

Chad ran a hand through his hair, ruffling it a little. "Yeah, I'm fine. You? Store didn't blow up. That's good."

"Yeah, pretty simple. Any other questions crop up?"

Chad nodded, grunting in approval of this. Good. One big emergency was all he needed today. He gave Hurley a thumbs up. "Good. Well, I'll be around if you need me."

Edward enjoyed days like this. He was free to wander the town without fear of exposure. He wore a hooded sweatshirt, though, just in case the sun decided to make a last minute appearance.

He entered the music shop and looked around.

"Clever name." Edward smiled without showing his teeth. "Do you carry classical music?"

"That's quite all right," Edward said. "I think I can find my way around."

Chad's there. There unless anyone short and blonde comes in, in which case he'll be mysteriously disappearing into the back office.
