Turtle & Canary; Tuesday 9/9

G'Kar was giving his copy of the script one last look through as rehersals were supposed to start today. He was rather excited to meet his fellow cast members.

Apu was busy ... doing his usual routine. Like anyone would expect differently of him.

Who is busily going over his script.

Turtle was thinking that it hadn't been a while since she had a jam session with her business partner, and bounced in today to rectify that. "Hello, G'Kar!"

He looked up from his script and smiled. "Turtle!" he greeted warmly. "What a pleasant surprise! How can I assist you today?"

"Oh, no need to assist," Turtle waved her hand dismissively at the idea; her eyes also, briefly, noticed the script, but they quickly dragged back up toward G'Kar and she firmly tried to just ignore it was there. "I just thought we haven't really run into each other lately and figured a hello, how are you was overdue."

"Visits are always most welcome," he smiled back. "I fear that I have been lax in that department as well. I shall have to reaquiant myself with the practice of dropping in our employees."

"Me, too," Turtle said with a small smile, "although I guess I have the advantage of seeing some of them during school and everything. That actually remind me, I need to get the sales report from yesterday. I introduced a little bit of a...challenge," she smirked, "for Sokka; I'm interested to see how he did."

"I could always make more of an effort to get out," he smirked back. "A challenge?" That sounded quite interesting to him. "How so?"

Turtle's grin was slightly wicked and all pride. "I said I'd agree to give him a raise," she said, "if he managed to exceed my sales. It's brilliant. Of course he's going to rise to the challenge, but it's a hefty one. And then, if he makes it, we'll make so much from the increased sales that we can still give him a raise and make out plenty ahead."

"An intriguing plan."

He couldn't help wonder if Sokka would become wise to it, however.

"It'll be interesting to see how he did. I mean, obviously," smirking still, Turtle rolled her eyes, "he wouldn't have done it, but I could still see him getting really close, you know? He's pretty good at things when he sets his mind to them."

"He does seem to be rather resourceful, yes. And sometimes even the best laid plans can take us in unexpected directions."

Oy! Pings from me today liable to be sloooooooow as I'll be doing training and spending copious amounts of time away from me desk.
