Book Haven - Saturday - 09/27
As much as Fiyero was glad to be himself again ... he half-missed the feminine perks, as it were.
And maybe he was flipping through a girly magazine at the counter of the bookstore today. So sue him!
Besides, maybe he could find something he'd be able to cook.

"Oh. Well, that's very ... odd."
no subject
"For all I know, it might have been the goldfish's trickery or my own magic playing games. It's... it's not really clear.
"I just hope you don't mind."
no subject
He ... blinked. It wasn't as if Liir had done it on purpose.
no subject
"I-- they aren't mine. They're yours."
no subject
Or something of the sort.
no subject
"If you think I'm worthy of them," he said with a hopeful expression.
no subject
Perhaps he hadn't thought about the full impact of the words at first, but now it made sense enough...
no subject
And tell him--
"Thank you," he said after a moment.
"I've... if only recently, I've tried to make you proud. Since I knew."
no subject
He shifted around the counter to wrap an arm around Liir's shoulders.
"I'm sure you've been doing that all along without realizing it, Liir."
no subject
Elphaba wasn't.
"I've tried," he said gently, leaning into the embrace nonetheless.
But... but he had Shell. He had what he'd said to Shell, what he'd done. That was something, wasn't it? Much more important than the mistakes of a child!
no subject
He smiled and pressed a kiss to Liir's temple.
no subject
"And you?" because the moment would be broken and better he did it.
"What have you been up to? What did you do being female and all?"
no subject
Pause. "And Geoffrey wasn't exactly pleased. A beaver and then a woman within a few weeks of each other didn't sit well with him, apparently."
no subject
"I was a kitten when he was a beaver. Just about the same days too, I believe."
no subject
Because Geoffrey hadn't been pleased by the Beaver incident.
no subject
"I've thought of figuring out a way to do it on purpose."
no subject
"That would be something."
no subject
"I should say."
no subject
"I had thought you might be far more talented than I."
no subject
"You had magic?"
no subject
no subject
"I don't think I ever did anything that interested, er, her. So I suppose it came late."
Or he hadn't been thinking enough to use it.
no subject
It'd been obvious enough that she had it.
no subject
And he waved a hand, as if to cover the rest of it. Mostly because he didn't want to.
no subject
He'd spoken to Hurley and when the man had asked why he didn't know about Liir -- well, aside from the fact he wasn't likely born yet -- he didn't have an answer.
But he'd bring it up another time. "Well, at least you can be sure now."
