Liir was in a rare good mood and found himself actually skipping as he came in the door today, no matter how much of a fool it made him look. He greeted the kitchenware, pulled out a few of the spices he'd brought from his room to work with, and set to, wondering if he'd be able to find what he was looking for at one of the stores today.Today's Specials

He poked his head out of the kitchen and gave Hoshi a smile. They hadn't spoken much since language club, but it was nice to see her.

"Hello. What can I help you with?"

"We're going to have a bake sale next week to raise money for the theater," said Hoshi. "I was hoping you could submit something. I know I can get the hotel to donate something, but I wanted to have more than just Gunther's apple strudel and my brownies."

"...you mean like all the extra baked goods I end up with?"

Yeah, this was like shooting fish in a barrell.

"But, the theatre? Is there problems with the theatre?"

His father lived there, after all.

"Anything you could contribute would be appreciated," said Hoshi. "The latest production doesn't have enough in the budget for both costumes and sets, so I decided I was going to do something about it."

"Aha. Well, considering, I'll donate as much as I can. When is the sale? I'll set aside the weekend for working on it."

"It's next Wednesday, but you can definitely drop off donations with me on Tuesday, whatever works best for you," said Hoshi. "It's going to be at the theater, so you can drop stuff off there. Geoffrey said we can also use the kitchen there, plus I have access to the kitchen at the hotel too."

"I'll probably bring the supplies, then, and work there. See if my father wants to help and then we'll have even more things to put out."

He grinned.

"That sound good?"

"Did you want anything for lunch?"

"Well, while I'm here, the snapper sounds good," said Hoshi. "Why not? I hear about this place all the time, but I don't think I've eaten here."

"Then let me send out some bread and ice water and I'll get started on your snapper."

"Thanks," said Hoshi, taking a good look at the place as she waited. It felt nice to get out of the common room and eat in town for once.

He sent out a glass of very nice lemonade along with the water and the rolls.

"Would you like some of the stew as an appetizer?"
