Church [Saturday, All Day]

The church was quiet save for a lone man in one of the pews near the front. His head was bowed, hands clasped together and lips moving silently.

The world outside was one full of depravity, transgressions and sin. Inside this church, Father Ned was safe. Inside this church, Father Ned reached out to those who were crying out for help, crying out for aide.

If they were cold, Father Ned gave them his coat. If they were hungry, Father Ned cooked them some soup. It was his small way of giving back to the world after what he'd done in the past. What he must never tell anyone.

No one would ever know that side of him. He'd been born the day he'd become a priest.

And so, Father Ned's prayers ended with a sigh and longing glance upward before he stood and looked at the empty church. Hopefully, it would be filled soon.

[So, Ned's a priest! And he'll be around all day to take confession or what have you. Come on by and confess your sins!]

The images from the previous night wouldn't stop flashing in Toby's memory. Kevin with Lucas, kissing Lucas like he used to kiss Toby. Oh, how Lucas Scott had deserved more than just a punch. Toby could feel the wrath burning in his soul, so he went to see Father Ned in hopes that the priest could help keep him from his jealous rage.

"Hey father," Toby said cheerfully, face downcast.

Toby tried to put on a brave face, but it crumpled at the sight of Father Ned and his clerical collar. It so reminded him of his happy teen years as an alter boy. "Oh, Father, I'm so confused!"

Roy found himself stopping in front of the church. He'd never embraced religion, he was too angry at god for that. But maybe, just maybe, this was the sort of place Hughes might have sought refuge. The church would allow him a cover, a change of name and no question. And celibacy, to stay true to the wife and child he'd had to leave behind.

Yes, he was certain that in this church he might find the answers he was looking for.

His footsteps echoed as he entered the church, his eyes needing to adjust for an instant to the low light. Where to begin his search?

The voice startled him out of his revere and Roy turned his head so the eyepatch over his right eye would be shielded away from the priest.

"I am well, Father," he replied, studying the man. Could he know anything about Hughes? "I was looking for... some answers."

It was still morning, but he had managed to pull himself together enough to leave the apartment. Soon, Nathan would flee right back: but now, there were heavier things on his soul.

He drew an audible breath as he passed into the church. "Father?"

"I must speak with you," Nathan spoke, his voice hoarse with his sorrow. "About my soul."

A leather-clad blonde with hard eyes and a harder attitude slinked into the church, intending to refill her supplies of holy water.

She eyed the priest, remembering those long ago days of innocence, before she got caught up in this wretched fight, this unending hell, but there was no going back, not after shooting a man in Reno not dirty just to watch him die.

"I don't know if sitting will help any padre," Jo said, the kind look in his eyes reminding her of other priests, other innocents who couldn't be saved.

DJ walked up to Father Ned.

"Forgive me, Father, for I may have sinned. I don't know how long it's been since my last Confession. I can't remember anything."

Romeo had failed to find Yurika, but he had stumbled to the church, guilt over his conflict between Yurika and Juliet eating at his soul. "Father, are you here to hear confession?"

When he entered the church, he became, for a moment, just Cal again, despite the make-up and glamor that came with his outside life. And, while he wished to avoid the place because priests made him nervous (a priest had, after all, killed his father), there was still that dedicated Greek Orthodox boy in him that felt it necessary to mourn his dead grandfather.

Who was actually not his grandfather, but his twin brother.

Who was not, in fact, eaten by bears.

And for his grandmother, once his lover thanks to a time machine, who was dying.

Oh, if only Chapter Eleven had not destroyed it! Then they could go back and be happy as they all once were!

He ducked his effeminate, ringed hand into the holy water to cross himself and nodded to the priest, feeling very apprehesive. "Excuse me, father," he said. "Could you spare a moment or two for a blessing."

Kaywinnit-Lee (with a hyphen!) entered the church, automatically crossing herself (though accidentally doing it backwards. No matter, Jesus wouldn't care.) It took her a moment, though, given the way her now-enormous breasts were heaving from her walk across town.

Peter and One - Zero's evil twin who had kidnapped Zero and was stealing her life but Peter didn't know any of this - rushed into the church. "Father. My dearest love and I simply must be married now! We don't have a second to spare!"

"Yes, my darling love has been diagnosed with a fatal disease," that would kill him in thirty years, "and I," One pretended to swoon, "pregnant with his children." Fake sob. "I'll be left all alone!"
