The Perk, Saturday evening

Willow was back for Homecoming, of course. She wanted to see her friends again, and all the things that she missed about the island, like the squirrels and of course coffee.

Coffee could be handled easily, which was why she was at the Perk.

This was all perfectly normal.

Much as it was entirely normal that for some reason Willow couldn't stop pondering about a lampshade that was hanging near her table.

Just one of those Fandom things.

Parker breezed in and headed straight for the counter. "I need twenty pounds of coffee and twenty pounds of flour delivered to the park after sundown. And a mocchachino." Turning around, she spotted Willow, and did an elaborate double-take. "Willow! It's been forever! Air-kiss!"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2008-10-12 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
"This is what I have minions for," Parker told her, totally serious. "Or you could wave your hand and magic it away. Or, you could make an offering to Legba, not that I would do that, and erase it."

Parker blinked. "And how much coffee did *you* have?"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2008-10-12 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
"That's right! You're getting married!" Some of Parker's real personality snuck through here, enough to show her happiness at the thought. "You have a caterer and a wedding planner and a florist and musicians and a dressmaker and a majordomo and someone to do your hair, right? Because you know, my own wedding? Happened so fast I barely remember it."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2008-10-12 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay, now I'm getting worried. Are you sure you're not cursed?" Parker asked, concerned. "Because you know when your wedding is interrupted more than once it's definitely true love. But it might also be a grudge from someone you pissed off. Or your supposedly dead first ex-husband."

Not that she'd have one of those. Nope.

After the scene with Marty and Abby in the hotel, Angela just needed air. She wandered through town until she found the Perk, where she ordered a chai latte and promptly began to season it with the salt of her tears.

Willow got a sad, distracted wave by way of greeting.

"I ... I don't know, Willow," Angela said. "We were fine since my sister started recovering from her car crash injuries, but now my fling with Bel has come back to haunt me, and I don't know who my daughter's father is. And she's acting out." Angela sighed. 'Teenagers are so difficult."
chasingangela: (ha ha I was right)

[personal profile] chasingangela 2008-10-12 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
"You went on one of those?" Angela asked brightly. "We were booked but ended up not going because Marty's older half-brother was in a coma. Who, of course, turned out not to really be his half-brother, he was just out for Marty's share of the diamond mines, but you know how that goes."

"Isabel's your sister?" Angela asked, confused. "I don't think I realized that. Didn't that make things complicated when she had that affair with ... you know?"

Triela walked into the perk with an expression suggesting she had a massive headache.

This was because she did. She needed tea.

She glanced over her shoulder to make sure she hadn't lost her amnesiac older sibling.

"Wow," Sora said looking around the Perk. "This place is pretty cool."

[identity profile] sorella-vecchia.livejournal.com 2008-10-12 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, I suppose so." Triela hadn't thought about it before. "I don't suppose it looks familiar?"

[identity profile] key-of-heart.livejournal.com 2008-10-12 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
"I guess?" It really didn't but Triela seemed to be so concerned about him remembering that he was trying.

[identity profile] sorella-vecchia.livejournal.com 2008-10-12 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Let's get some tea," Triela sighed, not really fooled, but appreciating the effort.

[identity profile] key-of-heart.livejournal.com 2008-10-12 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Sora nodded looking around the place as they waited for their tea to arrive. "So... is this a school?"

[identity profile] sorella-vecchia.livejournal.com 2008-10-12 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes," Triela nodded. "Fandom High is the institution that most of the island is built around."

[identity profile] key-of-heart.livejournal.com 2008-10-12 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay. So, I'm guessing it's a boarding school since I had a room. Did our parent's send us here as a punishment or something?

Billy Kessler, who had been abducted by his father as an infant and raised without knowledge of his real family, only to discover his real father was the leader of a terrorist band trying to take over the world, try to stop him, then get recruited to kill him in a power struggle, then sentenced to death by his father, rescued by a ninja and taught their ways, then on his way to confront his father was blown up in his car, only to survive, go into a coma for a year, wake up with amnesia, reconcile with his father, regain his memory and leave his father, meet his real mother when she took one of his friends hostage because she thought she was rescuing him, then going back to his father's island compound because his father had been murdered and replaced by an imposter, looking to expose the fraud, only to have his father return and bury him alive, then escape, then later get brainwashed by his father before finally washing his hands of the whole mess, came into the Perk. All that was actually canon! Holy crap!

He paused dramatically in the doorway, as if to see who was in there, or let the camera get a good close up of his pensive, brooding bad boy face.

"Hey Willow." Willow was his adopted big sister, even though she wasn't any older than he. In fact she might even be younger.
