Cafe Fina - Wednesday - 10/15
He'd spent most of yesterday in his room (during everyone's rehearsal) and with his father (after it), going over details but mostly just spending time together. There'd been mention of a bit of cooking instruction but it hadn't happened; really, Liir had spent the time telling Fiyero about some of the things that'd happened at school and the things he'd learned and how his progress was.
All in all, there'd been more productive days but not many better ones.
That was why he was more relaxed than chipper, more content than necessarily prone to smiles, and cooking up things that were a little more like home than here. Home. He could call Oz home today without feeling odd.
Today's Specials
Spiced Chicken Soup with Vegetables
Lamb and Minted Jelly
Candied Pearlfruit with Sticky Rice
Summer Ice
The Cafe Fina was open.
[Fiyero lightly godded with permission]

Re: Liir
She contemplated the specials board. "...how spicy is spicy?"
That totally worked as a hello, come on.
Re: Liir
"I used to enjoy it as a child."
Re: Liir
Re: Liir
"How are you, Ino? Headache?"
Re: Liir
"Mmf," she said, which was a yes, "always make my eyes sensitive."
Re: Liir
"That, and sound," he admitted. "I usually hide when I feel like that."
Though it wasn't often. He wondered if, perhaps, not using his mind had left his head a little less strained than others.
Re: Liir
She shuddered. "Ugh. Don't even want to think 'bout being sensitive to loud noises too."
Re: Liir
"Some of that soup?"
Re: Liir
A beat.
"Soup works though." Another beat. "Please?"
Re: Liir
"On the house," he said, since he'd have made it for her if he wasn't at work anyway.
"Did you want to sit, or--"
He was just fine staying here.

Re: Liir
Re: Liir
"How're you? How was the dance?"
Re: Liir
"How about you?" He glanced at the empty spot across from him. "Do you have to time to sit for bit?"
Re: Liir
"Good, I'm glad. I had a good time as well."
He looked at the seat across from Andrew and held up a finger before adding to the order a little. Then he made his way to the chair and took it easily enough.
"I do in fact. No class means I feel as if I can take my lunch break."

Re: Liir
"Tony told me the other day at breakfast. Or brunch, or whatever. When I fried food and people came to say hello and not talk about the weekend."
He took poured himself some of the water and took a sip.
"I won't ask how that went. I know I don't want to discuss any portion of that weekend."
Re: Liir
He peered curiously at Liir. "But now I really want to know about your weekend."
Re: Liir
"It seemed rather as if I'd... taken a slightly different road in life, one that involved being, er, rather..."
He couldn't even say the words.
