Groovy Tunes, Saturday [10/25]

Hurley was so relieved to find his mom hadn't come for a surprise visit. So he opened up Groovy Tunes with a smile on his face, and a song on the sound system.

Specifically, 'Mother' by Danzig. Hey, Hurley found it kind of funny.

Gonzo rushed in, huffing a little and approached the guy he spotted there. "You got the latest of Chicks in the Hen House?"

Hurley paused.

"...dude," he said, completely flummoxed.

"Duuuude," he replied.

"So you got it or what?" Gonzo was in a hurry here. He's an important guy you know. Might be some chickens waiting around to be discovered for their talents.

"I never heard of them before," Hurley said, snapping back into it. "But... uhh, you can check?"

"Thanks!" Gonzo bounced over to the section with the C's.

"Do you sing or dance any?" he asked Hurley. "I'm a talent scout!"

Hurley laughed. "No, I don't," he said. "I just... work in a music shop."

"Play an instrument? The kazoo is awesome!"

Gonzo had a weird sense of talent.

"If you're looking for talent," Hurley said. "You really should be looking somewhere else. Sorry dude. Thing... guy."

He grumbled a bit at not finding the album he was looking for. "I'm Gonzo. As in Gozno the Great!" he struck a dramatic pose. "I suppose you want my autograph?"

Hurley smiled and went with it. "Dude, of course," he said. He pulled out a pad and pen. "Make it out to Hurley, please."

"No problem." Gonzo walked over to take the pad and pen, scribbling out, 'To Hurley, best music shop clerk ever. The Great Gonzo.'

"Here you are," he said, proudly handing it back. "Now you're famous."

"Thanks dude," Hurley said with a smile. "Anything else I can get you?"

"Know of any chickens in need of work?"

"Ummm, nope," Hurley said. "Don't know any chickens personally, dude."

"What a shame. Chickens have so much talent."

At least Gonzo thought so. "It's been nice talking to you. Gotta run and get ready for the show!"

"Break a leg, dude," Hurley said.

"Sure!" he waved and rushed out, a clattering noise soon following.

"Still in one piece!" he hollered. "Hey you squirrel! Wanna be in show business?"
