The Park, Saturday Afternoon

The day was gorgeous - sunny and crisp and cool, but not so cool that people would need coats or sweaters. There were some discrete space heaters set up for those who had chosen not to wear sleeves with their formalwear.

A light breeze was there to lift hair that wasn't pinned or sprayed into position. Birds sang. Chairs were set up, divided by a long center aisle. There was even a small section towards the front with little piles of nuts and bottles of rum - Vala and Barney had both done radio at one time or another, plus it just made sense to make nice to the squirrels.

The wedding party had yet to take their places, so the atmosphere was open and relaxed, if a bit anticipatory.

"Tony Stark, a pleasure to meet you," He replied, taking her hand and smiling.

"What do you do in town, Tony?" Sarah asked, crossing her legs and leaning forward just a little. She thought she'd heard the name on the radio, but there had been a lot of names in the broadcasts.

Which was very nice to get a better look at her chest. "I have a-- I suppose you could call it a repair shop in town. And since you don't recognize the name, we'll leave it at that."

He was famous. Great. Well, at least it was a famous guy ogling her this time. "Should I?" she asked. "I'm sorry, I tend to be a little ..." She made a vague gesture meant to convey "out of the loop."

"Trust me, I make the papers enough that you would know me if I exist wherever you're from."

"Then I'll have to do some research," she said, leaning forward even more and ghosting her fingers over his arm. "Want to give me a hint?"

"Well," Tony said, looking down at her fingers. "Stark Industries would probably be a big one. You'll have to buy me a drink if you want more."

"I think I could live through that," Sarah said, withdrawing her hand slowly.

Sometimes, she really liked her job.

"I'm certain you could," Tony replied, more than a little smugly.

Oh, this would be fun. Sarah's smile in return was equally smug.

"Are you a friend of Barney's?" she asked. "I just met him Thursday, but he was rather insistent I come."

"Not really. I'm just here to enjoy the party," Tony admitted, looking around like that was a big secret.

"It should be a good one," Sarah commented, a little amused at his expression.

"I'd certainly hope so. Or else I got my tux out for no reason."

She eyed him up and down. "I think providing eye candy is a pretty good reason."

Spy school made you shameless.

"Oh, I like you," Tony replied, returning the favour. "Dinner?"

"I don't cook and I like sushi," she informed him. "Tuesday?"

"Sushi sounds excellent. I'll meet you there."

Being on a small island made picking a woman up in an ungodly expensive car so much more difficult.

"It's a plan," Sarah informed him with a grin. "I can't wait."

Tuesday would give her enough time to get a nice dossier on Stark Industries.
