The Park, Saturday Afternoon

The day was gorgeous - sunny and crisp and cool, but not so cool that people would need coats or sweaters. There were some discrete space heaters set up for those who had chosen not to wear sleeves with their formalwear.

A light breeze was there to lift hair that wasn't pinned or sprayed into position. Birds sang. Chairs were set up, divided by a long center aisle. There was even a small section towards the front with little piles of nuts and bottles of rum - Vala and Barney had both done radio at one time or another, plus it just made sense to make nice to the squirrels.

The wedding party had yet to take their places, so the atmosphere was open and relaxed, if a bit anticipatory.

Fraser arrived with Robin who I am modding and found that, as more people got married, he was getting more comfortable with wedding in general.

Sarah didn't know many people yet, but that didn't stop her from taking Barney up on his invitation. She arrived a little early, dressed in a strapless dress and shawl, and took a seat where she could watch everyone else turn up.

Tony and maybe his plus one looked around the park. Maybe trying to see if someone in particular was there. Maybe just scoping out if there was any attractive women to keep him interested.

Aly grinned as she found her way to the part of the park where the wedding was being held. It was good to know that the job of stabbing Barney if he needed it was being passed on to one so up to the challenge,

Professor Stinson was getting married. MARRIED. Sokka had dutifully dressed up nicely, but he was mostly here to point and laugh.

Momoko loved weddings, even if she wasn't sure she knew the couple. So here she was at the park in her dress and a shoulder wrap. Just the sight of the park being set-up for the event had her sighing wistfully.
