The Park, Saturday Evening

The ceremony had been beautiful. And the evening was only getting started. The guests were ushered into the large tent that had been erected (hee) in the park earlier in the day. The caterers had delivered and set up food and enough free alcohol to drink the entire town into a coma.

Of course, there was a special area reserved for the squirrels with dessert nuts and high-quality rum to keep Vala and Barney's smallest guests happy while they took their notes and danced the night away.

Pleased workers did a last check of the tables and cigar centerpieces before the guests and the wedding party arrived. The wedding reception was set to go exactly as planned.

"Sarcasm obviously doesn't register through the polyester," Loki said. "So noted."

"It's a polycotton blend!" Deadpool replied sulkily. "And why do people always have to rip on my proud cultural tradition of skin tight, brightly colored and improbable clothing?"

"Because it makes you look like the sidekick to some effeminate Vegas magician," Loki said.

"...Prince effeminate or Clay Aiken effeminate?"

"Combination of both," Loki said, "though I'm real glad not to see your ass hanging out of your pajamas."

"I'll have you know that I have a butt you could bounce quarters off of." A beat. "That didn't make me seem any less gay, did it?"

"No, it really didn't," Loki said. "But, hey, I'm an open minded guy. I could give two shits about that. It's the pajamas, they're a little concerning."

Deadpool sighed, stretching his hands forward to look at it. "It's still better than most people back home. No cape or random x's!"

"You should bedazzle your pajamas," Loki suggested.

"But that would be uncomfortable and so delightfully white trash. I'm Canadian."

"You're wearing bright red pajamas," Loki said. "I don't think you've got a fucking thing to lose."

"...My sense of humor?"

"C'mon, it'd just be laughing at yourself," Loki urged.

"You're a very angry man," Deadpool replied.

"Not something I haven't heard before," he said and shrugged. "Not something that'll change."

"It's interesting," He admitted. "Everyone here is so nice and wholesome... Well, other than the PJ comments."

"Nice and wholesome? Yeah fucking right," Loki said. "I've been here long enough to know that's not true."

"They're not murdering people a lot." That was so was wholesome.

"Well, that is a change from the last place I was," he conceded. "And the weather's a lot nicer."

"Hopefully we'll move again and visit Jamaica," Deadpool said cheerfully. "Or maybe Thailand."

"Doesn't the warm weather make you sweat a lot?" Loki asked.

"Cotton," Deadpool reminded him. "It breathes."

"I bet the sweat stains are nice," Loki said.

"Well, I'd say the bloodstains are worse, but I guess? You're a very kinky man. I don't think I like where this conversation is going..."

"Says the man in Prince-esque pajamas, talking to me about bouncing quarters off your ass," Loki said. "Self examination would be nice."
