Pizza Planet [Wednesday, early evening]

"And that's why the squirrels are all a bunch of raging alcoholics," Biff told Daisy as he held the door open for her.

"And this is the pizza place," he said, making a little "ta-da" gesture with his hands.

[OOC: Biff is here for his date. Pizza Planet is open for all your pizza-y needs.]

And, out of all the things Biff had told her so far around the town, Daisy found that last one to be the most logical.

The one about the squirrels, that was. Anyone could tell the building was a pizza place. Not everyone was astute enough to pick up on woodland creatures with substance abuse issues.

Daisy had to wonder, though, if Biff just forgot or simply didn't realize that she'd read through everything imaginable on this island at the station and knew a good majority of the things he said to be purely for the sake of pulling her legs. She humoured him easily enough, though, because his stories were fun.

"That it is," she remarked. "Should I expect them to be serving something very different from actual pizza?"

"Aww," Daisy, though just slight disturbed, bounced a bit into her seat with a laugh. "Now I feel even more justified in my eventual insistence on a pizza that leans toward vegetarian."

Well, now, that certainly made that easier. "Worrisome thing," Daisy said, "is that those mental images are probably already half true. Not, of course, that I mean to suggest anything about the owners of this fine establishment, but you know how meat can be. Or, rather, you don't, and that's just the thing, innit?"

"Oh?" Daisy head tilted. "How was it? And don't say dry!"

Daisy threw up her hands slightly. "And there go all my weekend plans, then."

"Well, there was the whole issue of actually finding a yak," Daisy pointed out. "I don't exactly think they're indigenous to this region, but I kept it open because I hear that practically anything can happen around here."

"But," Daisy stated, pointing an accusing finger at Biff, "if you come back around to yourself and find yourself shaved, you've only got yourself to blame for that one."

"My favourite colour's yellow," Daisy informed him helpfully, with a firm nod and a grin to match.

Daisy, following suit in retrieving a menu, arched an eyebrow at Biff, her grin quirking as well, wondering if he realized he was telling this to a cop; she wasn't going to say anything because not only did she not like to associate with work outside of it, but it put her a step ahead of the matter if it did become an issue.

"Think they'll notice?"

"Barney? Is that the one that got married?"

"And how many do you wager he took with him to Greece?"

[identity profile] justice-beat.livejournal.com 2008-11-06 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
"It might be a bit noticeable then, yes," Daisy decided. "Not to mention, it might be a little awkward when he gets back and finds someone else wearing them or using his things. It isn't exactly a big island; someone's bound to notice."

"Those might be a little less conspicuous," Daisy agreed, noting that she hadn't picked up a toaster yet herself and might want to look into that. "How many extra were there?"

If there weren't at least three, she'd be disappointed.
