After a jog around the island, Sarah went to open the shop. The tiny animals were gone, and she was just faced with comics.
Lots and lots of comics.
Reading them counted as researching the island, right? In some weird, cosmic way?
She was getting to kind of like Bitterwoman.

And then became somewhat curious of all the comic books lying about. They certainly were very colorful.

"Me?" he replied fumbling a bit for words. "Oh, I'm just looking at these..."
He looked at the comic book section but had no idea what they are.

Dor rolled his eyes. "Be nice. She's new here."
He turned to Sarah with an apologetic look. "Sorry about that. I can make inanimate things talk."

"Sure, I guess," he said putting the comic on the counter and pulling out his money pouch which was... well it was getting pretty light.
He frowned a little at that until he noticed the help wanted sign.
"Are you still looking for people to work?"

handwaveyan hour and the shift is 11 to 8."She rummaged beneath the counter for an application. "I suppose I should make you fill this out," she said, but with some reluctance. If he was from another universe, she knew the CIA wouldn't find anything. Still, old habits died hard.

She'd learned it was easier to talk to the frog if she didn't really look at him. He unsettled her and she really wanted to find out what made him work.
That was probably bad, if he were an employee.
