Android's Dungeon, Thursday, 11/6

After a jog around the island, Sarah went to open the shop. The tiny animals were gone, and she was just faced with comics.

Lots and lots of comics.

Reading them counted as researching the island, right? In some weird, cosmic way?

She was getting to kind of like Bitterwoman.

The Android's Dungeon was open.

Dor had been wandering around the island a bit when the rain finally got to him and he ducked into the shop in order to dry off a little bit.

And then became somewhat curious of all the comic books lying about. They certainly were very colorful.

Dor was momentarily distracted by the smile and blinked for a second before he realized she asked him a question.

"Me?" he replied fumbling a bit for words. "Oh, I'm just looking at these..."

He looked at the comic book section but had no idea what they are.

"What are these?"

"They're very... colorful," Dor replied sounding a bit lame. "I never knew books could be like that."

"Oh, I'm not from here," Dor replied. "I'm from Xanth. We have books just not like these. Wow, those Y-men wear very tight fitting clothes."

Dale grinned. "It's not from this world if that's what you're asking. It does look a lot like Florida if that's helpful."

"It can be a little disorienting," Dor said with a sympathetic nod. "For instance before I came here I just thought there was one other world and it was all called 'Mundania'. I also learned really quickly that people don't like having their world called mundane."

At that point the counter began to chuckle.

"Oh just you wait, lady," it snarked.

Dor rolled his eyes. "Be nice. She's new here."

He turned to Sarah with an apologetic look. "Sorry about that. I can make inanimate things talk."

"I've met a few normal people," Dor said missing the sarcasm entirely. "They're actually quite nice even if they can't do magic."

"Well it was a bit of an obstacle to overcome," Dor replied honestly. "I honestly thought I was coming to a world without magic and it would be very dreary. But I really like the people here and the whole island. Don't you?"

[identity profile] talks2objects.livejournal.com 2008-11-06 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well if you didn't think you'd like it why did you come here?" Dor asked curiously.

Dor looked at the comic booked and shrugged. Might as well give it a try.

"Sure, I guess," he said putting the comic on the counter and pulling out his money pouch which was... well it was getting pretty light.

He frowned a little at that until he noticed the help wanted sign.

"Are you still looking for people to work?"

"Friday would be pretty good for me," Dor said with a nod. "I assume it would just be general shopkeeping duties?"

[identity profile] talks2objects.livejournal.com 2008-11-06 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"Okay," Dor said taking the application. "I'll bring this back tomorrow and I'll see you then!"

Robin was wearing a wee tiny rain coat. Possibly for no other reason than that it looked cute on him. He was after all, a frog. The rain didn't really bother him.

"Hi Sarah!"

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2008-11-06 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"So, what time do I need to come in on Saturday? And am I working Sunday too?"

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2008-11-06 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
"No problem." Robin assented. "How do you like Fandom so far?"
