The metal junk slumped against the smithy wall could have easily been mistaken for a Bender. Half of it was a stack of iron (76% proof) railings that he had just 'found'.
The rest of it was reading - So you've travelled back in time and left your team of atomic monsters behind - and crossing out the mistakes. There was obviously a market here, perhaps Bender could make some easy money in the publishing game.
