Luke's Diner, November 24 (Monday)
Christmas was coming up! Lacey, being a bit of a junkie for holidays of any kind, was excited about this to the point that the kitchen staff was giving her a wide berth.
Well. A wider berth than usual.
She was in a frenzy of planning, making out shopping lists and ideas for all kinds of overly ambitious, elaborate gift baskets for people back in Dog River and Toronto, not to mention here in Fandom, but in between those fits of creativity she'd managed to find time to hook up a TV and set it on the counter.
Said TV was now tuned to a channel that showed nothing but a silent video loop of a cracking fireplace log. Lacey'd loved that channel ever since she'd been a little kid, and she wasn't about to give it up now. Every few minutes, she'd look up from her lists (yes, she was checking them twice. Three times, even) and stare at the log with a happy, wistful little sigh.
At least, the kitchen guys noted, it kept her quiet. Which was actually why her mother had encouraged her addiction to the stupid thing in the first place.
Luke's is open. Feel the holiday spirit. Feel it. FEEL IT!
[OOC: Thank you, weekly prompt, for the opportunity to work in that canon tidbit! SP as usual until late afternoon, bleh . . .]
