Caritas - Friday evening [Open]

To someone who was from a galaxy far, far away and had been to so many planets with far too many local customs to remember all of them, Thanksgiving wasn't anything too special. It was just another harvest festival, only it wasn't done with nearly the style or stench of a harvest festival on Kashyyyk. Wookiees knew how to party.

So this weekend was just another weekend to Jolee.

Tino, on the other hand, was wearing a hat shaped like a turkey.

[OOC: I may be a little slow tonight. I just got The Force Unleashed for Nicksgiving and I may be tempted to play it right now.]

"Rum!" Barbossa demanded.

"Rum!" Jolee passed along. Rum, Tino poured. Rum, Tino brought over. "Rum," Jolee told Barboaa.

"Rum!" Barbossa agreed, drinking happily. "Nice hat," Barbossa added, nodding at Tino.

"Don't encourage him," Jolee said.

"Would ye like t' borrow my hat?" Barbossa offered. "It may make ye feel better."

"Let Tino wear the hat," Jolee said. "It'll be an improvement over the bird."

Barbossa tilted his head. "I be likin' the feathers," he offered.

"Oh, not you too," Jolee said. "I might just ban hats for the night."

"Ye really want t' see what me hair looks like without a hat?" Barbossa asked.

"Not really," Jolee admitted.

"Probably better that way," Barbossa admitted. "I be not rememberin' when I be takin' me last bath."

"Get a datebook and keep track from now on," Jolee suggested. "I'm sure everyone will appreciate it."

"D'ye think I might be able t' make money fer people wagerin' on when it was?" Barbossa wondered.

"Cunning people can make money on pretty much anything, in my experience," Jolee answered.

"I be terrible cunnin'," Barbossa said modestly. "I once orchestrated a mutiny."

"I've seen fools mutiny before," Jolee said. "It's not so difficult."

"Jack Sparrow was terrible annoying, though," Barbossa added.

Because that would help a guy who'd not met Jack Sparrow.

"Who's Jack Sparrow?" Jolee asked.

"The captain we marooned," Barbossa said, holding his empty glass helpfully at Tino to fix.

Tino refilled the glass. "Well, at least you mutinied for a good reason, then. Any annoying captain deserved to be marooned, of course."

"Unfortunately, he be not stayin' marooned," Barbossa complained.

"That's just like an annoying person, isn't it? Refusing to stay still after he's been properly marooned," Jolee said. "Harrumph."

"That be the first thing I said when I be seein' Jack again," Barbossa agreed. "Well, after I be tryin' t' kill him, naturally."

"Naturally," Jolee said. "What was the second thing you said?"

Barbossa thought hard. "I think thar might have been something about apples," he said.
