Trooper Station; Monday. [ 12/01 ]

Although she had her doubts at the very beginning of it, Daisy's weekend had been just what she needed before today. A fresh start on the week, a fresh start on any investigations, and, hopefully, a fresh start was all they needed.

She sipped her tea, sifted through her paperwork, and got ready to watch the way the wind blew.

[[ open station, of course! Availability wont to be spotty until evening EST, however, woe! ]]

"Okay, here's the 411, Stark," Ray said, not at all belligerently, as he guided his 'guest' into the station. "At a police questioning, we ask you some questions, and the other guy actually answers them. Is this hard to understand or what?" He was in a fantastic mood.

No, really. He hadn't gotten to do actual policework in like months. It made him jittery. Okay, most things did, but this, this was the big jackpot of jitter.

[ we'll be threading together for a bit, but will tack in an ooc message once it's cool for you to ping in, detective constable! ]

"Of course, Detective," Tony replied, charming as could be. "Could I get a glass of water first?"

[identity profile] headkickpoet.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, great, the charming type. He just loved those. Really. "No," Ray said, eying the back of his head as he ushered the guy towards one of the rooms meant for this kinda thing, "No, you could not. Move!"

[identity profile] not-ironmaiden.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"Now, that's not very nice of you," Tony remarked. "I could always ask for a lawyer and end this now."

[identity profile] headkickpoet.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Had he mentioned how he loved the charming type? "Sir, you are not under arrest, we're just gonna ask you some questions since you were so damn helpful before," he snapped, shoving the door open with his foot. "We can talk about water after the fact."

[identity profile] not-ironmaiden.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"I was busy this weekend," Tony said dryly. He was less than impressed by the show. "If this is just questioning, I believe I'm free to leave at any time. Right, Detective?"

[identity profile] headkickpoet.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"Or I could just arrest you for, uh, hindering a police investigation." Ray was a good glarer. He was practicing his glaring right there and then. "Been a while since I got to Mirandize someone, wouldn't want to get sloppy. In!"

[identity profile] not-ironmaiden.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Tony just raised an eyebrow at him. "Water. Please."

[identity profile] headkickpoet.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"We'll talk about water when you get in the room," Ray snapped.

Immovable object, unstoppable force, yadda yadda.

[identity profile] not-ironmaiden.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 07:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'll get in the room when I get water." Now he was just being contrary.

[identity profile] headkickpoet.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, for fuck's sake.

He briefly debated the pros and cons of giving in just to get the stuck-up rich boy in the room, but his ego was kinda still winning the battle.

So he crossed his arms and glared like a pro. "Room."

And at that particular time Dale showed up with a small grin on his face.

"Well now. It looks like we finally get to talk to Mr. Stark," Dale said cheerfully as he came over from the coffee station holding a cup of water. "Thank you for coming in Mr. Stark. I apologize we had to resort to using drastic measures to bring you in but you seem to be a difficult person to get a hold of. Now... if we can get things started here is the glass of water you requested."

Dale held out the glass of water and dropped his cheerful grin.

"Now please get your ass in the room so we can get some answers."

[identity profile] not-ironmaiden.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Tony smiled, looking from Ray to Dale before taking the water and walking on into the room. "I think you could learn a lesson there, Detective Kowalski."

Dale watched the interrogation of Tony Stark with a great deal of interest.

And a cup of coffee. Of course.

Linz was not in a good mood when she showed up at the station. The phone call from that weird Jarvis thing only told her that Tony had been picked by the police for questioning.

She stomped into the station and bullied her way past some dork in a costume until she found her way to the observation area of the interrogation room.

"Are you Sheriff Cooper?" She demanded angrily. "I want to know exactly what you think you're doing with Mr. Stark."

Dale calmly took a sip of coffee. "Well, Mr. Stark has some information we need regarding an incident that happened at his place of business the other wee," he replied. "Are you his lawyer?"

"No," she said with a glare. "I'm his chief of security. And if you're smart you better allow him access to some legal representation or I'm dragging him out of that room in twenty seconds."

[identity profile] pieandcoffee.livejournal.com 2008-12-01 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Dale held up his hand in the hope it would give the irate woman a small pause for him to interject.

"Mr. Stark is here of his own free will," he said evenly. "And even if he wasn't we have a materials witness warrant that would compel him to be here for questioning."

[identity profile] memberslonely.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Fuck.

"He's still allowed legal representation," she said stubbornly. "Which if you don't allow me to get for him I'll make sure this little outfit gets their due share of a lawsuit."

Dale chuckled and took another sip of coffee. "Are you sure you're not a lawyer miss...?"

"Boxer," she said grimly and pulled out her old badge. "Lindsay Boxer. I was a cop. Former inspector from SFPD. Look, I'm usually the one in there grilling the witness so I know how this works. So believe me when I say that he needs a freakin' lawyer!"

Re: On the other side of a two way mirror...

[identity profile] pieandcoffee.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, Miss Boxer formerly of the SFPD," Dale said reasonably. "I do believe that Mr. Stark is an intelligent man and if he believes he needs legal representation he can certainly ask for it. As you can see he looks quite at ease in there."

Of course having Daisy interviewing him now might have something to do with it.

[identity profile] memberslonely.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Linz glared at Dale and then at Tony.

"Fine," she said crossing her arms. "Then I'm watching the entire interview and the moment you try to do anything to incriminate him I'm demanding he be mirandized. Got me?"

[identity profile] pieandcoffee.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
"Suit yourself, Miss Boxer," Dale said taking another sip of his coffee. "I assure you that we are on the up and up here."

"Yeah. We'll see about that."
