Caritas - Tuesday Evening [Open]

Marshall had made sure the place was extra clean tonight and that the zombies were extra taped up because of the karaoke contest tonight. He was glad to help the students out but he was a bit pouty. He didn't want to work. He wanted to sing! Luckily Chuck walked in just in time.

"Hey Barney Jr," Marshall said, waving Chuck over. "I've got a favor to ask."

Chuck looked Marshall over. "There's not enough money in the world."

"What? Ew. I don't even want to know what you mean by that," Marshall said, making a face. "Can you tend bar? There's a karaoke contest in here tonight and I want to to watch. Can you tend bar?"

Chuck opened his mouth to say no but found himself getting pushed over towards the bar.

"Great, thanks, don't kill anybody," Marshall said quickly before heading over towards the stage.

Chuck bitchfaced.

Teddy gave him a slightly inebriated grin. "Of course I did! I promised, right?"

Chad blinked.

"You taste like beer."

It was merely an observation, not a criticism.

"And scotch," Teddy added, pulling him back for a proper kiss. "I made a bet with Hannibal and the bartender suggested it."

Chad would have facepalmed, but there was kissing. Eager, drunken kissing, and there was no way he was going to say no to that.

"What kind of bet?"

Oh, he might just have to carry Teddy back, won't he?

"If he sang, I hadta drink," Teddy said, hooking his arms around Chad's neck and still grinning.

"Drink how much?" Chad asked.

He did like the bet, though. It meant more money for the club.

"Five drinks." And Teddy was the worst light weight around. He leaned in to whisper into Chad's ear in a way that was loud enough for anyone around to hear. "I so won."

And then dissolved into giggles.

Awww, Teddy was a cute drunk. "Of course you did," Chad whispered back, although it was a bit easier for him to keep it an actual whisper.

"Hey, think we can do this every night?" Teddy asked, leaning heavily against him.

"No," Teddy was enjoying shaking his head for a moment. "Coming here."

"I got money for it," Teddy replied. "Got two jobs now. 's gonna help with college, ya know?"

Teddy just grinned and kissed him again. "'Course I am. What else 'm I gonna do with the money? 'M an Emperor, Chad."

Those kisses was making this very difficult. "You could buy more comics," he offered.

"But what if you need somethin'? An emergency, ya know?" Teddy asked, clinging now.

Chad noticed the clinging, and gave Teddy a tight hug back. "It can be emergency money," he agreed. "That's a good plan."

...he shouldn't drink.
