Luke's Diner, December 22 (Monday)

Lacey had a bit of a hangover and a vague memory of wandering into Caritas at some point the night before, but as she tended to do, she was repressing that memory. She was good at that.

Today she was trying her hand at making a cake again, but this time without the rum -- or any other kind of liquor for that matter -- and decorating it with the gold chocolate coins that had fallen from the sky.

Lacey kind of loved it when inspiration struck; she just wished that this time it hadn't struck so literally. Ow.

Luke's is open, and Lacey still doesn't remember what comes before or after the "FIIIIIIIIIVE GOOOOOOOOLD RIIIIIIIIIIIIINGS."
