Caritas, Wednesday, 1/14

Penelope hoped tonight was going to be slow. She was somewhat tired and lacking... certain articles of clothing. She'd have to go shopping tomorrow. Understanding this place was difficult at times.

The band was playing jazz. Nice, quiet, jazz. Which was not entirely odd.

Caritas is open!

Loki didn't recall ever being in here on a Wednesday but he was in there tonight, taking a seat at the bar and shooting Tino his, by now, customary glare.

Penelope was hesitant to approach the glaring gentleman, but it was her job, right?

"Good evening, sir. What may I get you?" she asked politely.

Claudia was sooooooo nervous. Things hadn't improved when she discovered that all of her shirts were missing.

So she'd pulled on her silver and purple pantsuit (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v352/morganzola/gfy/77348625.jpg) and hoped that Priestly wouldn't notice that she was, you know, missing a major article of clothing.

Penelope stared. She stared hard

"H-hello. What may I, um... drink?"

Loki snapped out of his glare to turn towards Penelope. He tried to remember if they'd met but he was pretty sure that was a big fat no.

"Just water," he decided. "With a lemon."

Angela dropped in on her way back to the dorms from the exhibition. So, she had a class tomorrow. One drink wasn't going to hurt.

She hopped up onto a barstool and smiled at Penelope in greeting, "Evening, sweetie."

"Hi, Penelope," Claudia chirped. "Um, something warm? Stupid laundry strike."

Penelope quickly saw to his order and set a tall cold glass on a bar napkin in front of him. With lemon.

Penelope smiled cheerfully. "Good evening, Angela. What may I get you?"

Priestly had returned to his room after shopping with Dinah to discover his kilt had gone AWOL.

So he headed back out to Caritas in the same thing he'd been wearing all day -- yellow shirt with "No one knows I'm a Lesbian" written on it under his green army jacket, with shredded jeans over red and black plaid pajama pants (for warmth) just visible through the holes, and his boots -- with the addition of the bonding pouch thing for his new flying squirrel tucked down inside his t-shirt.

He wasn't sure about bringing a rodent to a bar with him, but didn't want to leave Ramone in the room without getting a chance to warn Naomi about him, first.

His hair, incidentally, was about the same color as Claudia's pants.

"Wow." He had to pause a moment and just admire that. "You're . . . really shiny."

"Thanks," he said, giving the lemon a little squirt into the water. Mmm, lemon water. How flavorful.

"Oh!" Yes, she understood now. "I know what you mean about the laundry. I'm missing an important part of my wardrobe." Not that anyone would know. She did have a long skirt on.

"Something warm with alcohol?" she asked.

"I'm Penelope," she offered. "If you need anything else, please just let me know."

"Ooh, can you do Irish coffees back there?" she asked hopefully.

Penelope looked over at Tino, who nodded.

"Yes, Angela! We can! Is that what you should like?"

"Loki," he said, giving Penelope a nod. "And if I say flick Tino's ear because I need it, would you?"

Just curious.

"I would love one," Angela replied nodding cheerfully.

She smiled, leaning forward on the bar. "You've been okay since I last talked to you?"

"Please," Claudia said, looking Penelope over carefully to see if she could figure out what was missing.

"In a good way?" Claudia checked.

"Totally a good way," Priestly assured her.

Wait, was she missing her shirt?

Woah.

"Most certainly," she said, not without a small measure of a grin.

"Anything to please the customers."
