Oh, look, Katchoo was cranky at work today. BIG SURPRISE. She also had her leather jacket zipped up on account of not having any shirts that hadn't disappeared, and her jeans were ripped in places that skirted dangerously close to inappropriate, but they were the only pair that hadn't been abducted and like hell she was wearing her ratty old sweatpants in public. On top of that, she looked a little banged up from having had to crawl under the bathroom stall door -- her particular brand of persuasion, namely "OPEN THIS FRIKKIN' DOOR BEFORE I KICK IT IN!" had been less than effective, and she had the sore-toes (on both feet) limp to prove it.

Clocky had tagged along after her and was rolling about the store, occasionally letting out a smug little beep or two. It wasn't getting kicked today. Mwahahaha.

[OOC: OCD-free and open -- I'm disappearing for a bit around 10:15 PST for a meeting but around otherwise.]

Try as she might, Ino’s attention was scattered today as she attempted to sit still and actually get studying done on that American History book. Because seriously, it was like every time she went to work on it something else happened. Listening to last night’s radio just made her snicker about Ichigo, and she rolled her eyes about minding her own business.

If people came and talked to her, then it was her business. So there, stupid radio.

Trivial things were totally the way to go today, yes. Even though she kept, despite herself, glancing up at the ceiling and looking thoughtful.

The phones were ringing like a ringing thing today. Apparently people either saw the notice or wanted to have the bathroom stalls arrested.

"I'm sorry Ma'am but there's really no way to arrest a bathroom stall," Dale said sympathetically. "Perhaps you could just try crawling under the door?"

After class first period Naomi quickly made her way to work so that she could open up for her shift.

Stark Industries is open.

Claire was out of fresh clothes and had never been more grateful to work in a vintage store. She rummaged through the racks until she found a pair of (acid-washed, but beggars couldn't be choosers and they weren't THAT bad) jeans and a fuzzy green sweater that fit her okay. They smelled a little musty, but it was still her best option.

Things Reborn was open and full of glorious clooooooothes.

[OOC: OCD-free is how I roll, baby.]

Sarah spent the first several minutes of her workday explaining to the employee bathroom that if it had any thoughts about joining the stalls on strike, she had ways of making it flush.

She was very persuasive; any sane toilet would have been quaking in its pipes by the time Sarah was done. Just in case, she used a bungee cord to prop the door open and then went to work on some bookkeeping at the front register.

The Android's Dungeon was open.

[OOC: Still with the OCD-free.]

It was the first opening of the year, and so Charlotte had made sure that everything was running smoothly and perfectly for it. Big (but not gaudy!) signs and bright lights to draw attention to the place, and enough food and snacks that she'll probably be eating the leftovers (or shipping them off to the station) for at least a week if the turn-out wasn't good.

And, at the crux of it all, in an exhibit that Charlotte found very thematic for winter was Chris Larson's Deep North, in a collection of photographs, sketches, multimedia videos and one very large contraption in the very center.

Charlotte really couldn't have imagined a better exhibit.

And she was also exceedingly glad that almost all of her clothes were dry-cleaned.

The York Gallery is open!

When Johnny got to work it was to find the kitchen staff arguing over the special for the day. He didn't want to get involved so sat behind the counter and flipped through a sports magazine.

He decided the special of the day was what anybody came in and asked for.

Johnny was easy like that.

Lukes is open.

Amber wasn't in all that great of a mood when she came into work. She's losing socks and underthings, shirts and pants, and stupid her should have just asked Liir about helping her to wash her own stuff. And not only that, she had to sing to the bathroom stall door this morning just so she could use it. And Happy Birthday was the shortest song she knew. She had to sing it twice, dammit. Fandom was getting on her nerves.

There was nothing on sale today. NOTHING.

Deal people.

Liir got to the cafe on time, slipped into the kitchen, and got to work. Considering the cafe, it was no oddness that he was polite to the utensils and appliances, which meant that he was able to get the food prepared without trouble.

In a rare fit of non-hermitry (and by this, one means that Mary chased her out of the apartment to clean things properly), Abby Irene was out and about. Or rather, in JGOB downing quite a lot of tea. It was, after all, just as good a place to work on her class for tomorrow as her apartment, considering she could sit there with her laptop, and the fresh air would do her good.

In fact, the whole thing was entirely her idea from start to finish. So there.

[open for Abby Ireneish or JGOB needs!]

Mina sat, feeling highly undignified and rather agitated. Her limited wardrobe was becoming more limited by the day. Today, her restroom required her sing.

That was not something people did. You simply did not sing to the plumbing.

However, she had sung. Needs had dictated it so.

And that was why Mina was brooding in the coffee shop.

Jeff swore the island was out to get him again. He was starting to run out of clothes. This was possibly the worst thing that had ever happened.

In order to keep from anything going awry clothing-wise, he made the important decision to go hide in the closet again. It might have taken him some time to find the right cupboard, but hide in it he did. With pride.

Nana napped.

Priestly paused in front of the window to the store and peered in.

"Dude," he said, hands bunched into his armpits against the cold as he continued to peer into the window. "I think that crazy looking cat is staring at me."

Penelope hoped tonight was going to be slow. She was somewhat tired and lacking... certain articles of clothing. She'd have to go shopping tomorrow. Understanding this place was difficult at times.

The band was playing jazz. Nice, quiet, jazz. Which was not entirely odd.

Ichigo made it into the shop after his Leadership class, munching on a pastry he picked up on his way over to the shop. He put the pastry down on the counter for a moment so he could put the sign in the window. When he made it back, there was a rat sitting on the counter, nibbling on the pastry he'd been eating.

Ichigo narrowed his eyes as the rat didn't even run away from him.

"Look," he told the rat. "Clearly my leadership isn't working here. So... what would be the right incentive for you to leave the shop?"

The rat ignored him and continued to eat.

Sighing, Ichigo went to tidy up some more shelves. Jeremy looked a little hungry. Not that Ino was right. He wasn't going to make a pet out of the stupid thing. Rats were pests.
