The Gig, Sunday

Firekeeper had had a pretty busy week, social-wise. And now she was continuing the trend, updating the horses on what she'd been up to. And blissfully unaware of any weirdness that might be happening with her phone. For the moment, anyway.

[ooc: open and i am bored!]

Helen was pretty oblivious to the phone situation too. She'd been feeling a little blue so she headed over to see the horses at The Gig. She nodded at the girl who had been in a class or two of hers. "Good afternoon."

Helen nodded. "I like it here. And I often feel more comfortable with the horses with people."

Helen nodded. "I can call them to me. Not horses so much, but other creatures - insects, rats. When I feel very alone sometimes I do. I never tried calling bigger ones because there really weren't any where I come from. Not friendly ones anyway."

Helen considered that for a moment. "In a way, yes. I can tell them what to do and with the larger ones, I know, well... more what they are feeling. Not exactly talking to them, but similar."

Helen smiled at her. "Really? And do they do as you direct them?"

Helen laughed at the wolf's response. "My elders aren't wolves and they rarely listen to anything I have to say. They've sort of exiled me."

Helen looked down. "I don't think they knew what to do with me. I'm a child of prophecy, but the prophecy was fulfilled. So they sent me away."

Helen nodded unhappily. "It's not a bad place. It's a nicer place than my home, but it isn't home. I just hope if I do well they'll let me return."

"I hope you and Blind Seer get to go home soon," Helen said softly.
