Groovy Tunes, Wednesday
Alice had a strange sort of wanderlust as she opened Groovy Tunes today. The mood where you took what you needed, and hoped it would last, and kept it close to you as you dashed out the doorway. Something was calling for her. It was exactly this sort of mood that had led her to Wonderland, a long time ago, and Looking-Glass Land shortly after. Perhaps she needed to go adventuring, once more.
Groovy Tunes was open, and Alice was humming to herself distractedly.

Talk to Alice

Re: Talk to Alice
She looked around the store, and came to a quick decision. "And I'd like to buy a CD player and some music," she added, firmly. She had money, now, after all, and hadn't spent it on anything much that wasn't from the Magic Box. "What would you recommend?" she asked. "I'm afraid I still don't know much about your world."
Re: Talk to Alice
She stepped out from behind the cash register. "It's not my world, either, exactly," she explained as she led Agnes over to the music selections. "Or rather, it is, but I'm well over a century out of place, so all of this is new to me, as well. I've been using this job rather shamelessly to explore music, so I know a moderate amount of everything up to J, and very little thereafter. Let's start at the beginning. What sorts of things do you like?"

Agnes smiled weakly. "...More assertive."
Re: Talk to Alice
She was already taking out CDs.

Re: Talk to Alice
She held out a considerable stack of CDs -- Garbage, Jack Off Jill, Staind, Tool, Alice in Chains, Bif Naked, Paramore, and other
moddableselections -- and gestured to one of the listening areas. "Put one in, slip the headphones on, see if it's at all something you'd be interested in. We can refine the search from there. I highly recommend female vocalists, I must say. It lets you screech along more effectively, in that particularly mood."Re: Talk to Alice
She selected, at random, Jack Off Jill, and after a few moments of fumbling with the player, got it started. "Oh, my."
Re: Talk to Alice
"I don't think she's been a proper young lady in years," she said delightedly. "I bought that one for cross Tuesdays and days when it won't quite rain."
Re: Talk to Alice
Who are you calling an immature brat?
"I think I like it," she declared.
Then she gave Alice an odd look. "Is there a reason Tuesdays are especially cross?" she asked.
Re: Talk to Alice
With that, she had disappeared into the rows, hunting down more selections.
Re: Talk to Alice
She leaned over to look in the wastebasket as Alice left, before realizing that one of the BANDS was apparently named Garbage. Blushing furiously, she hoped the other girl hadn't seen that. Some fumbling later, Jack Off Jill was out of the player and in the "to keep" pile, and Garbage was in. She... hadn't realized music could be so angry and so freeing all at once.
Re: Talk to Alice
Alice returned a few minutes later, carrying another stack of CDs. "More," she said. "If this grows tiresome, you can tell me to stop. But good, proper yelling music is something no girl should be without."
Especially not one who'd been told many times to be a lady. That made a girl need a good yell.
