Peyton was here and in a much better mood than she'd been yesterday after class. Which meant the music wasn't nearly as emo as it could have been.

Angela, nice friend that she was, dropped in to see her in after her class of the day complete with a couple of coffee cups from the Perk.

"Oh you are a true friend!" Peyton said with feeling. "How's it going, Angela?"

"Going very well," Angela replied offering the cups across the counter. "I have latte, I have hot chocolate," she said, holding each up to indicate which was which. "What sort of a mood are you in today?"

"Hot chocolate," Peyton said after a moment's thought. "I think I'm definitely in a hot chocolate mood."

"All the more caffeine for me," she decided, sliding the other cup over to Peyton with a grin. "And how have you been? Didn't get too cold last week?"

She rolled her eyes. "Miserably cold. And no one to warm me up. Blankets became my very best friend."

She tok a sip of the hot chocolate. "Nice. So, how have you been? Any fun news for me to live vicariously through?"

"I had someone to keep me warm," she offered. Vicarious warmth. "Which was very nice."

"I'm jealous," Peyton said cheerfully.

"You haven't had Dean around to help you out with that?" Angela asked, sipping at her latte.

She shrugged. "Not as much as I'd like."

Angela nodded, quirking a sympathetic smile. "I guess that's one of the benefits to my whole roommate situation," she remarked.

"Yeah I can see that," Peyton agreed. "Very handy to just join them."

"And he's very accommodating like that," she said with a laugh. "We actually went out the other night, for dinner."

"Oooh, very nice," Peyton said envyingly. "Nice place?"

"Thai," she replied. "Not really his thing, but I can but try and make a convert."

"Hey, at least he went, right?"

"He asked me, so trying to back out after that might be a bit awkward," she said.

"Oooh, even better!" Peyton said. "He asked you? Nice!"

Angela nodded with a little grin. "And called it a date, which is actually a first for us."

Peyton might have squeed a little bit. "Angela! That's wonderful!"

She laughed, "Don't get too excited. I still have absolutely no definition on this, and it is in no way exclusive. It's just... whatever it is."

"But hey, asked out on a 'date'. That's gotta be a good thing, right?" Peyton asked.

"I'm always a fan of it," she said, grinning at Peyton.
