Harper straightened up the store, then sat back to work on her costume sketches for the play. She thought some of her costume ideas were just fantastic, though anyone who saw the sketches might think otherwise.

Today's outfit: head-to-toe purple with yellow trim.

Boggle away.

Alex had told Harper she'd come visit her and that's exactly what she was doing. With two cups of hot chocolate in hand, because who could ever pass up that?

"Harper! How's the working world treating you?" What? Alex was curious, okay?

"It's pretty good so far," said Harper, beaming. She wasn't going to turn down hot chocolate or a visit from her BFF.

"There's lots of cool used knick-knacks that can be re-purposed into jewelry and clothing. I even made some cool earrings from green plastic toy soldiers.

"I'm glad," Alex grinned. She really was happy for her BFF. Especially given Harper's history with work.

"From toy soldiers? Really?" Alex was impressed. Leave it to Harper to take something crazy and make it into jewelery or clothing.

"I think I have them in my purse, right behind the counter. Let me go get them and show you," said Harper, reaching across to get it. In the process, she managed to knock over a box of marbles and jacks, sending them scattering all over the place.

"Cool," Alex nodded, wondering how they turned out. She winced when the marbles and jacks went flying. That was Harper, for you. And to be honest, Alex wouldn't have it any other way.

"Here, let me help you get those," she crouched down to pick up the scattered pieces.

"Thanks," said Harper, scrambling to pick them up. "My boss is really nice, though. I've changed a whole bunch of displays because I keep knocking them down, and he hasn't minded at all."

"Anytime," Alex smiled. "Oh, that's great. Not the knocking down things of course, but your boss being so nice. I wonder if mine would be as cool."

Then again, she'd probably come up with a spell to just fix every thing.

"But this place is so different from New York! The other night I talked to a kid who hadn't heard of New York. Imagine that! Oh, and there's a wizard from Ireland in my literature class," said Harper, excitedly gesturing with her hands. "He did this magic light ball thing when I asked him to prove it."

In her excitement, she knocked over a mannequin but managed to catch it before it hit the ground.

"Yeah, I've talked to a couple people who didn't know about New York, too. It's so weird," Alex shook her head. And that was saying something, all things considered. "There's a wizard in your class? Seriously?"

And wow, she didn't seem at all freaked out by it.

"I totally didn't believe Ronan at first," said Harper, straightening out the mannequin. "But then he told me to think about all the stuff I'd seen so far, like the radio squirrels and the washing machines going on strike, and really consider whether magic was really all that unusual for this place."

"I'd have to say it isn't," Alex admitted. "Given what goes on around here, it's definitely one of the more normal things to exist in Fandom."

"New York is probably going to seem so boring in comparison the next time I'm there," said Harper with a chuckle.

It is so hard to find an OOC icon for this girl, because she wears the craziest things.
