Groovy Tunes, Wednesday
Alice had escaped yesterday's epidemic of truth-telling fairly unscathed. She was, however, curious enough about the phenomenon to flip through the racks until she found enough song titles to set up a playlist.
Groovy Tunes was open, and Alice would give you her honest opinion on your music selection. But only if you requested such.

Talk to Alice

So it wasn't more than a minute before she entered too.

She shook her head. "It's..." Triela thought about it for a moment. "It makes me feel, I guess. It's very emotional."

And she'd never played with one.
"How does that work?" she eyed the booth curiously.
Re: Talk to Alice
Which Dinah did, after stepping outside.
Re: Talk to Alice
And listened.
And listened.
At some point Dinah was probably going to realize that Triela had taken the 'listen to this' thing literally. She was apparently going to listen to the entire album unless she were interrupted.
Re: Talk to Alice
Under her breath, she sang, "All we want to do is eat your brains / We’re not unreasonable; I mean, no one’s gonna eat your eyes...."
Re: Talk to Alice
She was distracted enough that she didn't immediately look around to see if Dinah had stayed.

"Yes."
Then: "Thank you."

Today, Triela thought, was not such a bad day at all.
Re: Talk to Alice
(So, so sorry. Was crashed out sick.)

She was glancing curiously at some of the CDs. "Most of my angry music is ladies singing very rude things at the top of their lungs. I suspect I'm largely rebelling against being told to be a proper lady, for so very long. I've never managed that."

Re: Talk to Alice
She laughed and dropped a proper curtsy, which was still somewhat strange in jeans. "Alice, a pleasure to make your acquaintance, and the delightful cat of mine that's soaking in the sunbeams has borrowed your name."
Re: Talk to Alice
Dinah kind of loved Alice's way of talking, and tried a very lame curtsey back, then laughed. "Oh, really? She's welcome to use it. Or time-share it? People keep trying to sing the lame song about 'coming around the mountain' when they meet me, so maybe she handles that better than I do?"
Re: Talk to Alice
She picked up a few CDs from the racks -- a few nicely angry selections -- before wandering over to the Dance section. "She doesn't seem to mind that 'someone's in the kitchen' with her, from what I've seen. I'm not entirely certain how she came to be called Dinah. Perhaps she looked to be one. I'm not fond of arguing with cats on their names."
Re: Talk to Alice
Re: Talk to Alice
She toyed with a CD of the Veronicas, wondering why that name sounded familiar.
"What's Camille's entire name, then? Dinah has only ever been Dinah. Though I suppose she's welcome to my last name, should she want it."

She liked the store. There were places to lay in the sun, and people came in to pet her.

Re: Play with Dinah
For her part, Dinah was going to hunch over and stick her butt straight up in the air. That was, of course, the proper response to spine-pettings.
Re: Play with Dinah
Re: Play with Dinah
She had no earthly idea why Dinah was so devoted to her; all she could be was grateful.
"I should love to meet her. Your kitten, that is. Is she a trouble-maker? Most drama queens are, it seems."
Re: Play with Dinah
Re: Play with Dinah
She glanced at her cat once more, remembering. "One of Dinah's kittens was very much like that. Terrible and mischievous and of course the proper punishment was to scoop her up and cover her with kisses."
