Spending the weekend as a human hadn't been entirely bad. He hadn't looked different or anything too jarring. Loki supposed that turning into someone with a broken mind and the inability to curse (and Loki had solved that problem by rattling off a string of curses as soon as he changed back) wasn't the worst thing that could happen to him.

The fact that he'd been a fucking human for two days was what he was stuck on. God could probably do that if He wanted to but to live in a place where he could go from angel to human and back again without anything worse than the memories of throwing everyone's leases in the pool (FUCK!) as a consequence was fucking amazing.

This morning, Loki was sitting on top of the counter with various dried out pits and pieces of contracts and leases piled on either side of him. Some of them had been salvageable but most of them hard torn or were so wet, they were fucking lost causes.

"Fucking paperwork," he grumbled irritably. It was good to be irritated again instead of so fucking calm. Eventually, he got tired of the paperwork and just laid back, legs dangling off the counter so he could stare up at the ceiling.

Much better than fucking paperwork.

Daisy ruefully shook her head. "You're building yourself up a bit," she noted. "That's a surefire way to sign your fate toward failure, you know."

"You don't think I'm good entertainment?" he asked, fixing his face into the most pitiful pout he could muster without it looking fake ~~mwahahaha~~. "I thought you had fun when you came over."

Confronted with a pout, Daisy could only slightly pout back, an evil chain reaction. "I think you're wonderful entertainment," she assured him. "Which is why I worry as I do about it changing!"

"After I showed you how to bowl right and I cooked and I fixed your oven!" Well, there were a few exaggerations in there. Mostly. Still pouting even if he sort of glared for the returned pout. "I'll just have to prove to you that it won't change."

He started the pouting; Loki had no right to glare at her for simply falling victim to the laws of pouting nature.

"That means," she noted, "that I'd have to keep coming over to be entertained."

"...Damn."

"Does that mean I win?" Or did they both win? Who knew. He'd just wanted to pout. "Next time, I'll make you play Twister."

No, really. He would.

"What?" Daisy asked, laughing.

"And that means you're currently winning, with the constant threat of failure hanging over your big head."

"You've never played fucking Twister?" That needed to be rectified. "It's a game. Physical game even so you can get your exercise and then I can kick your ass and be better at it and win some more."

Twister was ruthless.

"That means next time you're over, we're playing Twister. No arguments."

Daisy gave Loki's arm a slight backhanded thwap. "Of course I've played Twister. My question was more out of shock that you think you can beat me at it. I can be very flexible and bendy when I need to be."

"Well, you know, you're from another country," he said, making those two words sound like the worst thing ever on purpose. "And I know you're bendy. It's a nice talent to have and one I enjoy seeing. But I'd still beat you. So, how about this? I challenge you."

[And I challenge myself to sleep! Niiiiiiiiight!]

This seemed quite the week for challenges for Daisy. She grinned.

"I accept your challenge," she pronounced. "Just name the date and time ~~that isn't Friday~~, and prepare to lose."

"Don't be so overconfident," he chided with a waggle of his finger. "That'll be your undoing. You wanna go sometime this week or weekend or should I give you time to practice and go next week?"

[Omg! *tells on you*]

"Well, I did miss my meditation this week," Daisy noted with a roll of her eyes. "I might be rusty."

"Too busy running around without pants," he felt compelled to say again. "And I saw that roll of your eyes. Don't think I missed it. If you weren't all in uniform, I'd do something really immature right now."

He might do it anyway.

"Weekend? Early next week? Give you a few days to think about how badly you'll lose."

"Monday evening," Daisy decided, throwing in another roll of her eyes to see if he could miss that one, though it was as clear as the broad side of a barn. "I'll be in top form then."

Well, that second roll of her eyes pushed him from thinking about being immature to making immaturity a definite thing.

Which is why he reached and flicked her nose.

Yep.

"Monday it is."

Said like he hadn't just flicked her nose.

Laughing with an exaggerated 'ow!' that she didn't really feel, Daisy rubbed her nose.

"You just flicked my nose!" she informed him, in case he hadn't realized.

"I did. Got a problem with that?" he asked. "Gonna do something about it?"

"You're just lucky I'm off duty," Daisy informed him. "I've taken in horses smaller than you for less."

"If you took me in, I would make your workday really annoying because I..." Pause for dramatic effect. "...would sing the entire fucking day while I was locked up."

He cleared his throat and got a little beat going on the counter with knuckles.

"Nobody knoooooows the trouble I've seen. Nobody knows but Jesus." See, even topical! "Anybody knows the trouble I've seen!"

"In-house entertainment!" Daisy remarked with a laugh. "I fail to see the annoying part in this."

"That's because you're weird," he replied with a shake of his head. "Only you would consider that a viable form of fucking entertainment."

Because that singing was just bad.

"And since you're out of uniform, that means I can flick your nose again, doesn't it?" he asked before reaching to try again.

And that would be Daisy, reaching up to grab Loki's wrist to prevent the attack with one hand, while the other reached up to flick his ear.

The surprise attack on his ear connected and he took a moment to look surprised before using his remaining free hand to try and pinch one of her sides.

He was hopeful that it was low enough and that she wasn't quick enough to block it.

It certainly was too low, and Daisy's free hand only made it to block Loki's after it was too late, squirming away with her hand over his and a laugh. "Hey!" she objected. "Stop that."
