Alice had not, in fact, brought her sack of flour (Reggie, Jr.) with her to work today. Reggie Jr. was in a shoebox, under her bed. (The freezer had seemed crowded.) She had tossed in a few cat toys in case he needed to amuse himself.

She did bring Dinah, however. Dinah liked the music store, and was not half so dull as Reggie Jr.
