Caritas - Sunday evening [Open]

Tino was, for some reason, dressed in a tux tonight. He expressed disappointment to Jolee that he didn't have a red carpet to walk around on, but that he would still like to thank Jolee, the zombies, all of the customers who have supported him through the years, God, his parents...

And he kept on going until Jolee gave the band the cue to start the music.

[OOC: If I'm slow, blame Hugh Jackman.]

Mina sat at the bar, and gave Jolee a pleasant smile. "Good evening, my friend," she said.

"Good evening," Jolee said. "How are you tonight?"

"I am well," Mina said. "And yourself?"

"Old. But that's nothing new," Jolee said. "What can I get for you?"

"I'm in the mood for something new," Mina said. "Do you have anything... exotic?"

"Probably. I don't pay much attention to what we actually have," Jolee said. "Tino, can you suggest anything?"

Tino started listing off a variety of drinks that could be called exotic, pausing after each one to thank the region of the world from where the drink originated.

Mina stared. "...This is stranger than the impersonation of a robot," she said.

"Yeah, but it proves that he knows his drinks," Jolee said.

"I believe the Mai Tai sounded more intriguing," Mina said. She smiled at Jolee. "You are a patient man, sir."

"It's a trait that serves a hermit well," Jolee said as Tino prepared the Mai Tai and brought it over. "Being fidgety will drive a potential hermit crazy inside of a year and send them back to an apartment building somewhere."

"I could never become a hermit," Mina said. "I suppose I am a social creature. I require... some sort of human contact."

"I admit to needing some, myself. I mean, I could still talk endlessly without anyone around, but there's a certain point where that goes from filling time to being insane," Jolee said.

"Or you start imagining other people are there," Mina said. "Which would be even worse, I'd imagine."

"Oh, I don't have a good enough imagination for that," Jolee said.

"Even with all your travels?" Mina said. "I suppose experience is different then imagination, but certainly with seeing such things, you can be somewhat creative?"

"I tend to focus more on what is, rather than what could be," Jolee explained.

Mina nodded. "It helps keep your head on your shoulders in dangerous times, I would think."

"More specifically, it helps keep my head on my shoulders when someone is trying to cut it off," Jolee said.

"Have you encountered many who would try to decapitate you?" Mina asked.

"Not really. Most would be happy with just stabbing or shooting me, which rarely results in decapitation," Jolee said. "And less than half of them had what I consider very good reasons for it. They might disagree, though."

"I hate it when my life is threatened for no good reason," Mina said with a polite laugh.

"I've gotten used to it over time," Jolee said. "I suppose that's only natural."

"I hope you are no longer plagued by such occurrences?" Mina said.

"Well, nobody's tried to kill me since I came to Fandom, no," Jolee said.

"A trend I hope continues," Mina said. "I prefer you in one piece, Jolee."

"I don't really mind how many pieces I might be in as long as the main piece is still breathing, personally," Jolee said.

"You remind me of a man I knew," Mina mused. "An old hunter."

"Really?" Jolee asked. "I've never been much for hunting, myself."

"Nor I," Mina admitted. "But Allan was the sort of old lone wolf type."

"I'm not sure I'd describe myself as a lone wolf. I'm more of a lone..." Jolee pause. "You know, this would be easier if I knew more about Earth animals. Okay, I'll go with a wolf."

Mina smiled. "I may be wrong," she said. "But it is the impression I get."

I would like to thank the administration, who gave me a chance to play this wonderful character. I would like to thank all of the players Lorne has had over the years, for giving GOB a chance at working at the bar back when he was in town, then letting him run the bar, which allowed me to later just switch over to Jolee running it. I would like to thank Lorne's first player especially, who brought in the zombies and Tino, this post really couldn't have been done without you. I'd like to thank my parents, my sister, Natalie, who brought me into the game, God, the mighty Thor, and Zeus, all for various reasons. I would like to thank George Lucas, for creating the Star Wars universe, and BioWare, for creating a character like Jolee to inhabit said universe. Everything I do with him is a tribute to your work. But mostly, I would like to thank you, the players of Fandom High, who make posts like this so fulfilling. I do it for you guys.

And of course, I'd like to thank me, because I am awesome. SAVE THE PLANET! PEACE OUT!
