The Park, Sunday afternoon

Despite the weather, Simon felt the need to get out of the house. Wrapped in a warm coat he wandered around the park, stopped by the pond to feed the ducks, then sat down on a bench to drink the hot tea he had brought with him. Oddly enough, despite the cold, he enjoyed this and felt happier than he had in a long time.

[Open!]

Due to the rather quiet week and the subsequently (especially for her) quiet weekend, Daisy was full of cheerful, unspent energy in going about her typical Sunday errands, eager to get started on a new week where things might actually happened. Her good mood had her greeting even the ducks that crossed her path; she was definitely extending one out to the fellow on the bench.

"Afternoon!" she greeted with a friendly way.

"Proper weather," stated Daisy with a grin, lifting her heels a moment before settling in with a light grip on her black umbrella, "this is. Reminds me of home. Though I do feel a bit bad for all those kids coming back from all that sun to this."

"Oh!" An offer like that instantly propelled this fellow into a very high opinion. "Yes, please, I'd love some. And a spaceship? Really?"

Most of the people Daisy seemed to talk to all seemed to be from the past, whether recent or centuries ago, and so a spaceship was a topic of decidedly new and interesting stuff.

"Ta." Daisy smiled as she took the cup, curling around it a little; her other hand went to it as well, despite it holding the umbrella. "I'm Daisy. I'm from now, if not exactly here, but I think you're one of the first I've come across to mention spaceships."

"Oh," said Daisy, "I don't imagine that there isn't plenty. I just haven't seemed to have one brought up in a conversation much."

Smiling slightly, Daisy shifted her umbrella again, this time so that it it settled between the two of them, saving all but perhaps the back of their heads from the drizzle.

"That's always the question 'round here, innit?" But, for some reason, perhaps because of the nice proper weather today, it wasn't bothering this afternoon like usually might have. It was one of those days were she felt it was a good thing that there were just still people who didn't know her profession by her name.

Or perhaps it was just something about sharing an umbrella with someone else.

"And I'm a copper; how about yourself, Simon?"

"Dyton?" asked Daisy. "And, well, I'm from London. Maybe there's a connection between the two of them?"

Daisy nodded a little. "So how far into it are you?" she asked. "The future, I mean."
