Caritas - Friday evening [Open]

Jolee walked into the bar. "DAMMIT!" he yelled, rubbing his head after getting back up from the ground. "Why do we have a bar at the door? People are going to get hurt!"

Tino pointed to the two zombies holding the bar. They were wearing shirts reading "ZOMBIE LIMBO CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009!"

"And zombies can't bend back very far, explaining why they're holding it at forehead level," Jolee said. Tino nodded. "Great. Okay, you two. Either move your competition to the stage or I'm throwing you out."

The zombies shrugged. This was above their pay grade in the ZLC organization, so they did as Jolee requested and moved to the stage.

As such, the band decided to start playing calypso music to go with the theme.

Where no zombies are allowed. The drinks would just pour out of their chests and Jolee wasn't going to clean that up.

The limbo would be... certainly something to see. Tony, and his sanity, were glad to miss it.

Tony greeted him back with a lift of his glass. "The bee stings are gone, so I think so."

Which wasn't to say Tony was wrong, either, and he shifted uncomfortably because ... no.

Tony looked as though he was thinking it over. "Let's go with really needing a drink, shall we?"

Some nights, Tyler could almost pretend Caritas was a normal small town bar.

Other nights, there were zombies enforcing a limbo theme.

"I'm starting with a double," he announced. "I don't even care what it's a double of."

"Tino, pick something for the man," Jolee said. Moments later, Tino brought over a glass filled with something unidentified. It was possible that Tyler's liver wasn't likely to appreciate whatever it was.

Tyler eyed the glass, shrugged, and took a healthy belt.

He spat it out, sputtering. "Is that shit even from Earth?"

"I wouldn't know. Whenever somebody gives a non-specific order like you did, I don't even look at what Tino's doing. I find it's better to focus on preparing to heal the customer just in case."

Tyler considered that. "So you're saying this is my fault," he said, giving Tino a dirty look. "Let's switch to an amaretto sour."
