Caritas - Tuesday Evening [Open]

Marshall had come to work early because, you know, it was St. Patrick's Day and all. Within ten minutes he had he turned a bright green. He didn't care though.

Know why?

Because he was getting HAMMERED.

Kenny was killed in Killkenny
And Clare she died in Clares
Tip in Tiperrary died out in the dairy air
Shannon jumped into the river Shannon back in June
Ernie fell into the urn and tom is in

Cleanliness is godliness my uncle Pat would sing
He broke he neck a slipping on a bar o' Irish Spring
O’Grady he was eighty though his bride was just a pup
He died upon the honeymoon when she got his Irish up

I'm well on my way to being drunk so I apologize for the spelling as the night goes on.

There was a large black bird making his way toward the bar, looking desperately in need of a drink.

Actually ordering one was going to be troublesome, of course. But he'd figure that part out when he got that far.

Ronan made his way into the bar, already a sheet and a half to the wind. (And, consequently, already bright green.)

"KISS ME, I'M IRISH!" he announced, loudly, to the bar-as-a-whole, before making his way up to the bar and, only slightly less loudly, calling, "Barkeep! Guinness me!"

"Sir Chocobo!" came the call. No, it wasn't Minsc! It was Ronan. A bright green Ronan. "I... didn't actually get your name earlier! But I promised you booze, so. Shall I order it for you in a bowl? It might be easier!"

Ronan! A means to communicate that he wanted something to drink right now dammit!

"Wark! Kweh!"

It's Reno, yo! An' a bowl will do! Booze me!

Yes, somehow he managed to speak like a street punk even by Chocobo terms. Reno was special.

Ronan waved Tino over and ordered a bowl of Guinness. "And another Guinness for me," he added, downing the one he had in his hand.

"I must admit, I didn't recognise you!" Ronan said. "Earlier, I mean. Obviously, I recognised you now. But then, I suppose I wouldn't have, would I? As you don't exactly look yourself at the moment."

Breathe. Drink.

"Hi!"

Reno wasn't nearly drunk enough yet. So he dipped his beak right in and had himself a nice, long swallow. Oh damn, he needed that.

"Rookiii-roo!"

If you recognized me before, I would'a been worried I really look like a bird, yo.

"I suppose, yeah. Which you don't! You're really quite an attractive man. I mean, I know you don't swing my way, I'm not coming onto you, I just mean. Well. You're hot, yo!"

Apparently, the 'yo' was contagious.

That earned a headtilt and a few blinks before Reno bobbed his beak into the booze again. Were his feathers starting to take on a greenish tint? Ah well. Black chocobo, green chocobo. He was still a freaking bird, either way.

"Kweh?"

Thanks, I guess?

Reno knew he was hot. Hell, he was a pretty sexy specimen of chocobo too, so far as he was concerned. Not that he was normally a judge of chocobo charms or anything.

"Wark, kweh, wark!"

It'd be extra weird if you were comin' on to me right now anyhow, man.

"Yeah, I'm not the one into non-humanoids."

Oh, Carmela.

"So, I think the beer's turning us green tonight," Ronan added, looking down at his own green-hued skin. "I guess I should have warned you before! Sorry!"

Hurley knew today was a big drinking day. And, well, he was loosening up on the whole 'alcohol' concept.

"Uhhh, dude, Mr. Teacher? You're green," he said.

Reno clearly didn't seem too bothered by this, and he clucked out his reply accordingly.

Green chocobo, black chocobo, don't make no difference to me, yo. Unless you want me to go running over some rivers or somethin'.

Yes, he totally expected that to make sense.

More beer!

"...Dude, you're also green," Hurley said.

"I KNOW!" Marshall said excitedly. "ISN'T IT AWESOME?"

Hurley thought for a second. "Uhhh, I guess it's festive?"

"It's a holiday?" Marshall asked, looking confused for a moment. Then he facepalmed. "RIGHT! IRISH DAY!"

It didn't make sense, but Ronan was more or less beyond caring. More beer!

Ronan waved to Tino for another Guinness.

"So you said this is for a class assignment?" Ronan asked. "What class?"

Hurley chuckled. "Yeah, it's St. Patrick's," he said.

"I think it's the beer," Ronan said, laughing. "It didn't happen earlier when I had a couple of shots."

"Man, that's a lot of booze," Hurley said.

"Yeah, I totally knew that. It's just--" Marshall lifted up his beer as if that was an explanation. "Would you like a beer?"
