Groovy Tunes, Saturday [4/11]

Hurley opened up Groovy Tunes, and today he was taking care of little Latara, the wokling he'd been assigned. So that meant the music of the day was... Sharon, Lois and Bram. Hey, kids music was universal, right?

Little did Hurley know that he was probably attracting a clientele he wasn't quite ready to deal with.

"Daddy!" Annie Claire ran in ahead of mommy. Actually mommy was a slow poke and Annie Claire's little Mary Janes clicked along cheerfully as she grinned wide up at her daddy.

Annie Claire pointed her tiny little finger at him. "You's so funny."

She bounced and extended her arms towards him. "Up! Up, daddy! Hold me!"

"Hello, Hurley," Penelope intervened as she caught up with her... their daughter.

"Meet Annie Claire Reyes."

She bounced up and down. "Mommy, he knows me already!"

Penelope nodded.

"She came to my room this morning."

"I wants chicken daddy!"

Her arms went up. "Hold me, daddy! Up high! High!"

Not a customer, but close enough.

The nine-year-old came wandering in, followed by K-Mart, who was pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Dad!"

That was K-Mart facepalming.

"Yes, another one." K-Mart had a handwavily acquired cup of coffee in hand; she took a swig before saying, "I have two, if it helps any. This bratface is Carlos and my other one is LJ." She smiled faintly. "Both named after friends of mine and... Carlos, where did your brother go?"

"He's over there." Carlos pointed.

"Oh, okay. Long as I haven't lost him before I can inflict him on his father."

"Only 'cause of him," Carlos said, pointing to his brother and scowling. "He tried to fireball me this morning!"

"He tried to hit me with a ball of fire!"

"And I told him to stop it, didn't I?" K-Mart said, taking another sip of her coffee.

"Yeah, but -- "

"No buts. Listen to your mother."

"His father's Johnny Storm," K-Mart explained.

"Okay, you know my friend Savannah? The one I was telling you about who spent the money on me? Johnny's her guy. He's also a superhero. No, really. Has the ability to manipulate fire."

It was the best she could manage.
