Around Town; Monday Noonish [ 04/13 ].

Another great thing about having Orden around was that the little guy could accompany Chad and help out with putting up the posters for the music club's karaoke contest tomorrow. They made sure to spare some time between visiting Teddy and heading into work at Groovy Tunes to throw the signs up everywhere they could think of.

"He's a wizard," Katrina said nonchalantly. This was Fandom, she could just say that. "He fixes things that go wrong with the universe. So we travel all over, wherever there's people. Or aliens."

"Aliens are totally people, too!" said Orden with a proud nod. "I'm half-alien, after all, 'cuz my dad's one. Are you half wizard?"

[identity profile] nolan-kidlets.livejournal.com 2009-04-14 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, sure," Katrina said, grinning. "My favorite one is Skif, he looks like a Christmas tree. You're half-alien? Neato!" She looked at Mr. Chad, and decided it had to be the Emperor Dad who was the alien person. "And yeah, I'm half-wizard, and maybe all-wizard, but I have to be older before we'll know. Dad says my other half is Just Scary."

Orden couldn't help grinning at that. "Just Scary, huh? What's your other half, then?"

"My mom," Katrina said with a little sigh. She looked up at Mr. Chad. "You know. She still throws shoes at people who get her really really mad. And threatens to shoot them." She grinned at Orden. "But she's awesome." She hummed at little and said, "So, do you ever go to the Great Market?

[identity profile] senorhulko.livejournal.com 2009-04-14 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Orden shook his head. "I don't think so, what is it?"

[identity profile] nolan-kidlets.livejournal.com 2009-04-14 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
"It's this huuuuuge market that takes up a whole planet, like the biggest super-mall ever, and they have the best chocolate in the universe." Katrina grinned at him, then suggested, "The next time I go there, you could maybe visit. If your dads let you."

"He might!" Orden said, hopefully. "I might need a royal guard, though. Just for safety reasons, you understand."

[identity profile] nolan-kidlets.livejournal.com 2009-04-14 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
"Sure," Katrina said understandingly, with a big grin. "I should catch up to my dad." She smiled up at Mr. Chad. "It was nice meeting you, Mr. Chad. I'll tell my mom." She smiled demurely at Orden. "Bye, Prince Orden."

Both Chad and Orden waved back. "Bye, Katrina!"

And, once she was gone, Chad looked down at Orden, a little surprised. "What? Didn't ask her to be your girlfriend?"

"Naaah, I got her number! I got plenty of time."
