Caritas, Thursday - 4/23

Penelope came into work tonight carrying two boxes of Ho Ho's. She gave one to Tino and then settled herself behind the bar with her own box. Yes, she planned on eating the whole box tonight. She was cranky and she needed chocolate. Customers beware.

Caritas is open.

K-Mart didn't realize the cranky until she'd already sat down. Uh, whoops?

"What can I get you?" she asked, rather snappy.

"Long Island iced tea." Well, at least she knew what she wanted right away. Points for that?

Penelope hated having to put down her Ho Ho to make a stupid drink. So she didn't. She continued eating it while making the drink with her other hand. The drink might be extra strong. She couldn't say for certain.

"Here. Enjoy." She set the glass in front of K-Mart and slapped a napkin down by it.

"Thanks," K-Mart said, digging out her wallet so she could pay.

"If you plan on having another, I'll keep a tab open for you," she offered. With a frown.

"Oh, hey," Hurley greeted K-Mart. "Getting out more, huh?"

"Trying to, anyway," K-Mart said with a shrug.

Hurley gave her a thumbs up. "Awesome," he said.

She couldn't help grinning at that and returning the gesture. "Exactly, man. Because hiding? Really gets old after a while."

"Especially if the seeker really sucks," Hurley said.

"I know! 'cause when they suck, you end up stuck under a bed for hours." She paused. "Or that might've just been the way my cousins and I played."

Hurley came in, stuffed from the party.

"Hey there," he said.

Penelope had a mouth full of Ho Ho. "Hrrrmph."

She fixed a Coke and set it down, slapping a napkin down by the glass.
