A banner, the letters wrapped with fresh spring flowers, hung from the trees, spelling out CONGRATULATIONS, CLASS OF 2009! No missing letters or anything.

Spread out across the park were plenty of tables and chairs, some under the shade of picnic shelters, some out on the grass in the sunshine. For those who felt like getting back to nature, there were even red and white checked blankets spread out in a few areas for old-fashioned picnic-y goodness. Lack of ants not guaranteed.

The long table that ran along next to the picnic shelters was laden with a vast ~~moddable~~ array of traditional brillig-y food, including fruit, veggie snacks, breakfast pastries, sandwiches for the especially hungry or those who arrived more toward the unch end of brunch, and a wide variety of J,GoB-catered desserts. Drinks included coffee, tea, juices and soft drinks, and while there were plates provided, there were also wee picnic-basket-shaped trays for carrying things back to your seat, wherever that might be.

A space had been cleared for dancing, if people cared to do more than just listen to the light music being played through the speakers, and there was also an area set aside for outdoor games of croquet, horseshoes, or frisbee.

Everybody's welcome. Come celebrate with the Class of '09!

"Damn straight!" Reno grinned. "You still got that laptop of yours?"

"Sure do," he grinned. "I still got that email though I don't really use it a whole lot."

"Well, you're gonna have to change that," Reno decided, smirking. "That's gonna be one of my only ways of contactin' people, sometimes."

"I will. From now on, I'll check it at least once a week, if not more often. And I'll send you pictures of Fandom. Like if Professors Skywalker and Dex ever put on another show, know what I mean?" he smirked.

Reno had to laugh at that.

"Oh, man. I was startin' to worry I wouldn't have anyone on the island with a camera handy in case of gremlin bites, yo. You're a lifesaver!"

"Well then you can count on me, dude. I just hope I never run into the little buggers."

Not that Murdock really needed a gremlin bite to do weird things.

Reno snorted and rolled his eyes, grinning slightly.

"They got me twice, man. In, like, a week. I don't ever wanna think I'm a figure skater again, yo. I don't look so good in a unitard."

With spangles. It was scary.

Murdock started laughing his ass off. He couldn't help it really.

"Oh dude. Sorry, man. I think I remember hearin' somethin' about that on the radio."

Snicker.

"Sorry."

"I was Chuck Norris the other time," Reno added. Because Chuck Norris was awesome and he felt compelled to share. "It was awesome."

There was more snickering. "I bet it was. Did you kick anyone's butt while you were at?" You know he had to ask. Had to.

"I totally kicked the shit outta a dummy at the Salle," Reno replied, proudly.

It had been fun, okay.

"An' I intimidated the money I could have been savin' by switchin' to Geico."

"Dummys totally need that," he nodded and laughed. "That little dude with the creepy eyeballs?"

"That's the one! You saw him too? I ain't losin' my mind?"

"Well... I did see him," he nodded.

Though that didn't mean much coming from Murdock.

.... Oh, yeah. It didn't mean much, coming from Murdock, did it?

Hm.

"Good enough for me!"

"Great! An' I'll get that little gecko dude for ya if he ever shows up."
