MHA Lobby, Tuesday

Sure, Loki had just done some work on Sunday but Tuesday was his day to open the apartments so he was out there. Or, well, he was sprawled in his favorite chairs, baseball hat on and iPod (the fucking technology of this decade was amazing) ear buds in and turned up as high as it would go. He didn't know who the fuck this person was or even if the music was good but he didn't care. He had the iPod, he had the music, he was going to damn well use it.

Sure, there was shit he could do around the building but why do that when he basically had an unpaid grounds guy in the form of that student who Ronon supervised every Saturday. Students needed to get detention more often.

Maybe he could give detentions. His first fucking class was tomorrow, in fact. He'd have to look into that.

[Open, of course!]

On her lunch break from the shop, Haley rolled up to the apartment building on a skateboard in shorts and and tank top. She had been looking for an apartment of her own for a couple days now, but had no luck.

Sticking her board under her arm as she stepped onto the lawn towards the man, she was hoping she would have better luck here.

Believe it or not, Haley was actually born and raised in Texas, and bikes were really more her thing than skateboards, but her skateboard was easier to take out.

Haley smiled back for a moment before getting down to business. "Any place open in here?" She wasn't sure if he would hear her with headphones in his ears, but she tried anyway.

"Yeah, I've only been here a few days and living out of my car and shop really isn't as glamorous as it seems." Haley said somewhat sarcastically.

"I'm sure." Haley knew what he was doing; after all, her best friends were pain in the asses. They were lovable pain in the asses, but pain in the asses nonetheless.

"Unfortunately, I'm kind of looking for a place with a mattress, and preferably, a bathroom as well." Haley said with a nod.

Ronon stopped next to Loki and reached down to tug out an ear bud. "Look at you, hard at work."

And then there was Ronon, not working at all and looking potentially different, if one paid close attention to these things.

Ronon laughed. Man, he'd missed laughing at Loki. "Thought maybe you'd died in your sleep."

Ronan had died, just a couple weeks back actually. "Just sayin' hi. It's been a while."

"Like a year," Ronon told him, flopping into a chair. "Really good one, too." Or not based on all the death and destruction.

That morning, Daisy took the usual detour on the way to work to drop into the chair she almost always did, looked at Loki with the iPod, and started saying something.

Well, okay, she wasn't saying anything, she was just moving her mouth to make it look like she was saying something, just to mess with him. She hoped that whatever she was pretending to say sounded either mean or suggestive.

Chuckling, Daisy realized that she should have expected a response like that. She retaliated with a little kiss in the air for him, and settled back in the chair comfortably. She had plenty of time, as usual, before she was expected, and she could just sit there, looking at him patiently, amused, listening to the music leaking out from earbuds.

"Got a good beat to it, though," Daisy offered, especially since the beat was just about all she could make out of it besides muffled other parts.

"And you're still listening to it," Daisy pointed out.
