Fandom Fight Club: Atlas Gym, Sunday Evening [5.24]

When people trickled in today, they'd find only Ghanima in the gym and no Tyler in sight.

There was, however, a very disgruntled-looking goat that had somehow managed to get into the building.

"Good evening, everyone," Ghanima said crisply. "Welcome back. My fellow conspirator is unavailable tonight," as she glanced at the goat, "so you're stuck with me. Do try not to do anything too stupid when unsupervised."

"Now, let's see. There's lots of new faces here tonight, so I'd like to see some of them on the mats. You and you. You, you. You, please, and you as well. You two. And, hrm, you and you. Everyone else, I'd like you to pair with someone you haven't fought before, if possible. Even if they're of a different ability level. It's time to see what you can learn from each other."

Max was wearing another of his too-tight t-shirts today. They were actually rather comfortable and they were great for not restricting movement. He looked around, still trying to get a feel for the people at Fandom.

There was a goat there, though its abilities as a conversationalist were limited.

However, it excelled at headbutting.

Ronan had his kit with him again, should anyone need medical attention. For the moment, he was stretching, getting ready for his bout with Savannah.

Jen was actually going through a few forms by herself in the corner once she had her warmups done.

And no, having a giant bulky device strapped to her left wrist when all she was wearing was workout pants and a sports bra didn't look any less weird.

No, she still didn't seem to notice or care how weird it looked.

Fiona was there, quite pleased with the day despite yesterday's stress. Either way, she was dressed in her sweatpants and a t-shirt and she was quite prepared to spar for a bit.

Arthur was here as per usual, and in a better mood than last week. Not that that was hard, but it was a visible difference. You could tell by the regular levels of arrogance rolling off of him.

Cable had Jan sitting in the playpen; he was wearing his jogging-slash-sparring outfit, and he was, as always, very much cognizant of those present. He hung back a little to observe.

In a corner of the room as far away from Jen as she could get, Katchoo was leaning against the wall picking dirt out from under her nails, looking as 'go away and leave me alone' as she could possibly manage today.

Rose was excited for this. Also completely expecting to get her ass kicked which meant she was happy the guys back home weren't here. She'd kicked her shoes off already and was stretching to get ready for a match.

Of course Minsc was there and ready to do battle with whomever might be feeling brave (or stupid)! But not before making sure his hamster was safely tucked away and after the important stretching was taken care of!

Zack was there with a few more healing potions in his pockets than usual.

A little more usual was the fact that, as always, Zack was bouncing.

Although she always did stretches and meditation before fight club, Daisy did a little more once she got there, because it's not like stretching ever was really a bad thing.

To Ronon, the mingling part was just an excuse to stare at people and decide if they were worthy of a spar.

Ghanima is over here, supervising the punching dummies and mats for those that are learning new skills.

With a sigh, Katchoo eventually headed over to the punching dummies and got to work on some of the basics. There were things she was good at, but different ways of incapacitating someone while sneaking up on them in a dark alley or that signature Parker Girl nosehold weren't useful in a club like this, and she didn't need anybody asking how she knew them.

This face-to-face sparring stuff was out of her realm of experience, and she wasn't terribly happy about that. But beating the crap out of a dummy in an undisciplined way, while terrible form, was at least cathartic.
