Pixie Dust, Sunday

Eric had come into the store for his first shift a little anxious, what with never having had a job before, or even considering needing one like this. It wasn't, after all, like he really needed the money. The chance to be around the clothes, however, was something he couldn't pass up.

His first order of business was to check through the most recent stock and make notes about which suppliers they could stop dealing with, and which seemed to actually have some promise for providing recent fashions. He'd leave the recommendations for Romeo to look at when his shift was over.

The clothes at Pixie Dust were just a little too normal boring for Harper, but she'd put up with it just to visit her crush.

"Eric! You got a job here? That is so cool!" she squealed.

"I brought you a present," said Harper, holding out a small box wrapped with newspaper.

Inside, there was a bracelet made from mismatched safety pins, paperclips and colored beads.

"Of course I know about you!" said Harper.

She didn't, actually.

"You're gay?" repeated Harper, honestly surprised. "Well... you aren't seeing anyone right now, are you?"

"Then maybe you should just give me a chance! We could be perfect together," said Harper.

She was nothing if not persistent.

"But I'm not like other girls," protested Harper.

"Again, I don't see why that's a problem," said Harper. She was too stubborn to get it.

"But anyway, I have to run and finish packing. I can't believe it's just about time to move back to the dorms."
